Remember When?

I don't know if there's a thread like this already here, but the point of it is to post anything random that was in RuneScape before all of these updates. It's kind of a reminiscent thread to the game that we all used to know and love ^_^ . Just post "Remember when etc.?" Mods, if this becomes a spam fest or you just feel like closing it, feel free.


I'll start it off

Remember when the legends cape was the cape to have?

 

Remember when armadyl godswords and dragon claws and all those prod weapons didnt exist and that you could pk normaly?

 

I can see this thread being shut down real quick, haha.

Remember when you had to run to eat

Remember when Fally park W2 and North of Varrock West Bank W1 were the trade hotspots?

 

Drop parties were held upstairs the museum in Varrock.

Remember when there was no such thing as dragon armor/weapons? Then everyone went nuts when d med, d scimi, d long were released and everyone was speculating on the rumor of the d square coming out?

Or when you had to cert your materials you mined, cut or fished? Lol I could go on forever with this.

"selling 100 coal certs 1k each press 999!"

 

Oh man. I remember seeing people do that haha. Those and "Trading Santa for palm leaf!" whilst partner is saying "Selling palm leaf 3M!"

Remember when the best staff was the ancient staff because before the wand it was the only thing that could auto cast ancient magic?

 

Remember when armadyl godsword was 105m? Oh god the days..

 

Remember the day when Recipe for Disaster was pretty much the hardest quest out there :L

 

I miss that era :'( .

Remember when RSGP was being sold at almost 8 bucks a mil?

 

Fighting bosses was actually worth it.. That's what I miss.
Not that I do not have older memories, started out in 04.

( Nex is still worth fighting though, don't like her however. )

Remember when the Kalphite Queen and the King Black Dragon were the best boss monsters?

 

Oh yeah I do.. Sure miss those times.

What about;

Remember all the god sets dealing behind Varrock's west bank? Everybody trying to pull off that 50K profit on a set?

 

Hahahahahaha.

Remember when whips were like 3.1m and people were scamming buying changing it to like 314k

 

That wasn't just whips, that was every item that was obtainable. One of the major reasons the Trade-limit update was implemented.

 

Remember when Mystic protected over Whips

 

That's a good one that definitely needed to be posted.

Remember when the loading screen was the two pillars with the logo of the sword split between the two words? Still on RSC, but I miss the RS2 one .

 

1. Whips were one of the most common items that were scammed at that time.
2. The price difference of 3.1m then and 500k now is another "remember when" part of it.

Remember when monkey madness came out and it was like crazy hard at the time?
