Edit: Since you bought ArmA II, I figured you might need some help with installing DayZ (provided you bought ArmA II just to play this awesome mod), since it’s notorious for being one of the more difficult mods to install. But fear not – by following this guide you’ll be playing it in no time.
First things first:
1. Download and install ArmA II + Operation Arrowhead expansion.
1.1 For Steam: Download it through Steam
2. Once you installed the game MAKE SURE TO RUN IT ONCE! It’s important
3. Download and install the latest BETA patch (the latest one is always in the green area in the top left), since from v1.7.1 of DayZ it is required. The link: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php
4. Download DayZ files from: http://www.armafiles.info/dayz/
5. Now for the more tricky part
5.1.1 Make a folder named @DayZ in your Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory
5.1.2 Inside @DayZ folder create another folder named Addons. It should look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addons
5.1.3 Unpack all DayZ Mod files in the "Addons" folder.
5.1.4 Go to the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory and right-click -> edit on .cmd file "_runA2CO_beta.cmd". Search for ":run" near the end of the file. Add ";@dayz" without quotes to "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca".
5.1.5 Run "_runA2CO_beta.cmd" and enjoy playing!

Don't you need Operation Arrowhead, not Combined Operation's to play DayZ?

 

Yes as you see in screenshot you get Arma 2 Combined Operations and Operation Arrowhead. 2 Serial keys for 15 dollars. If steam, you only need 1 key to get both

Edit - After a week, my key was disabled, maybe he resells the retail keys to multiple people, he then deleted me after i confronted him

 

Wait, Are you saying if we buy 1 key, we get both or are you saying if we have either Combined Operations or Operation Arrowhead, we can still play DayZ?

All I have right now are steam accounts, But I'll try to sell some of them and get 15 dollars. Unless you take steam accounts also. And if not, I'll get you 15 dollars.

Combined Operations is just what they called the pack, it is the original Arma 2, and the Operation Arrowhead. Hope that helps.
