    Does God exist?

I agree that the link between man and God is no evidence. I reject it as a good justification for ones belief though. I could just as easily justify my belief in zombies because of faith.

Can we apply your method of gaining knowledge to other areas of life? In other words, faith is how you gained knowledge of Gods existence. Can we apply this to other areas?

This is a bit ambiguous. If you mean for example I have faith that I will climb Everest next year, then I wouldn't call it faith, I would call it a desire.

There is a small problem here. When people say impossible or unachievable, they mean it literally. It's impossible to create a square circle for example, but it's not impossible to land on mars in 20 years time, despite what people may tell you; it's just highly, highly unlikely. People who say things are impossible, unachievable etc. are usually not worth keeping company.

Have as much faith as you want, you cannot create a square circle. It's impossible, and I mean that literally.
You've justified your belief in God tautologously. You are essentially saying you believe in God because you have belief in God.

Any examples of miracles. Remember, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

This is an argument from ignorance. Just because miracles happen, we can't explain miracles, etc. doesn't mean that God must exist.

    Does God exist?

It's a cute conversation, but it's premises are fundamentally flawed.

Firstly, it presents a skewed view of the nature of death and evil. Death as a process is not merely the absence of life, but is, rather, in integral part of it. There is no life without death: cells die, plants die, fish die, we die. This stands in contrast with the Christian notion of a time without death in the primeval Garden of Eden. Ignoring the absurdity of this claim, the story grants to God the power to prevent death. Similarly, death as a state refers not to objects that possess no life, but to those that have undergone the aforementioned process and thus lost it.

Similarly, the idea that we need "faith" to believe in the existence of one's brain is incorrect. It's a deductive argument: all living humans whose heads have been opened possess brains, and our analysis of these brains has shown them to be an important part of life (indeed, our lives would be rendered impossible without them). Thus, we conclude, all living people have brains.

If, however, I were to find a dead man in the street, there would be no reason for an assertion of faith that his brain existed. The death would be reported and an autopsy would be carried out to determine the cause of death; only after this would one's belief the man's brain remained within the confines of his head be justified because it is a belief based on evidence--not faith. The same goes for evolution (which, by the way, does not involve monkeys turning into humans).

EVEN IF there was no method to establish the existence of the man's brain, this would not amount to science saying he has none. It would make its existence unknown, and, in the absence of any reason to believe it does indeed exist, the best we can say is that we don't know.

The same goes for God: we don't know whether or not he exists.

If God endowed us with reason, either deliberately or by incident, our exercise of such a mode of thinking would constitute the use of a divinely sanctioned instrument. Thus, if one were to question his existence based on this gift, such an act would merely be an application of divine principle; no rational being capable of the creation of the world would look down on one who used a method so endowed.

These, I believe, were the sentiments of Thomas Jefferson when advising his nephew to:

"Fix reason firmly in her seat, and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion. Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear."

Malakadang.. no one knows how the big bang started

Why do i think we stop evolution as humans? - people who are born with an extra finger, get them removed.. and things like that - that could be evolution, if we didn't maybe 1000 years down the line we'd have 6 fingers? and it would be commen!
You're incorrect here. Remember, evolution is a change in the gene pool overtime. If I cut my hand off, does that change my genes? No. If I cut my 6th finger off, does that change my genes? No. So, Evolution is still an ongoing process in all living organisms. So long as living organisms reproduce, gradually, the gene pool changes

    - Every persons genes are different... so there is a change in the gene pool everytime?

You are correct, that doesn't discredit the big bang theory. The question that how did the Big Bang start concedes the existence of a Big Bang.

    When they reproduce, yes.

Sorry i forget The BBT is just a theory.......... if it was looked upon as fact, then it would null it..

as theres no proof it wil always be a mystery.. in my eyes, we're too small.... we can't look outside the box, as we dont know what is beyone it.. we can continue to speculate and stuff,

our eyes decieve us... nothing has colour - seeing is beliving.
so should we belive everything we see

-My withdrawl from this argument, it is one that can go on throughout sythe's history if people with science/philosophy can maintain it

A scientific theory is different from the colloquial use of the word theory. This website articulates that point perfectly: http://www.notjustatheory.com/

There is a lot of evidence in support of the BBT.

Not sure if this is sarcasm or not, but the statement 'our eyes deceive us' and 'seeing is believing' is a contradiction. It matters not, do you have any evidence to support those claims?

So can the argument do faeries exist.

I believe we are all Gods. There is no one Universal God that is almighty in my opinion. The closest to your definition of God is Satan.

I put no, but I am agnostic. No-one can prove anything (Not like it would matter b/c everyone is to stuborn anyway). Although I do find many christians I talk too to be complete hypocrits and very ignorant, so I tend to stay on the athiest side.

I don't think god exists, but hey its my opinion, you can believe your religion or science. All that aside there isn't really anything to prove that god exists.

    Does God exist?

I personally believe there is some sort of higher being.

I do not believe that he/she is the creator of the universe, since Steven Hawking proved there is a way that the universe could have been made.

    Does God exist?

Why do you have that opinion though?

What do you mean by 'higher being' and why do you think such a being exists?

Why do you believe that God exists though? What reason do you have for believing in his existence?

So if he does not judge you and simply helps you, he helped Hitler kill all those Jews? Why would you worship a mass murderer?

    Does God exist?

I'd say no, there is no proof he does exist, but you also can't disprove it.
I have, and still am growing up in family without a religion and I'm always taught to believe whatever I wanna believe, and I don't believe in god.

Edit;If it's true what some say, and god excists, then why does cancer exist, aids, and the list goes on?

I do not believe in God. If he were to shake my hand then I would believe in him. Normally I don't believe in things unless it is for absolute certain that it is real.

    Because Earth would get overpopulated.

And to have anything good, you must have evil as well. Good is only relative.

    Does God exist?

I'm not sure if double posting is allowed, but I'd also like to say that I voted yes, yet I follow more of a deistic approach to the way things are. I just find it really hard to comprehend the existence of something like DNA, a code, a language, without a designer. Yes, call it God-of-the-gaps. But I'm not saying that this designer can't be an alien, another supreme being, etc.

I just find it really hard to comprehend that it could come out "naturally".

I suppose the question depends on your definition of "god". God can mean different things to different people...
