hey guys quick help , this is my acc not so good as many other great ones but anyways , i've decided to start playing again because of the upcoming update , and i was wondering weather i should level up my defense as it cant be a turm without leveling def, and on top they are gonna make defense count more so it sounds like zerkers will be useless , dont rage if you have a zerker ,it's just an oppinion , please help me decide if i should max this or what level defence to get , im not looking for a boring account so if you have a maxed main please tell me if their fun as well thanks , any links to maxed mains req of quest and levels also if you can

If you enjoy pking as a maxe zerk, don't level. If you don't have turmoil, get it. Defence wont ruin pking in the update, the fact that they're giving Rangers an upper hand advantage is what the downfall is. If you haven't already seen the video on Jagex's youtube, go look at the video for the combat update. My advice would be to keep 45 defence and max it out. That way if you decide to sell it the value of the account will be more with 45 def then 46-99.

 

i will end up leveling defense if i do turm , so i will be like 48def , i doubt people saying i got a fail zerker will be fun that is why im looking for more options

I know zerkers with 50 defence, famous zerk's, 48 defence doesn't matter, you have the stats to prove yourself. As long as you hold your own no one will call you failed.

 

If I were you I'd stay posted until the combat update then reassess the situation from there. You'll regret having ruined your zerker and leveling its defence considerably then deciding that a zerker would have been a better alternative post update. With that being said, I think the smart move for you in the meantime would be to simply do the quests and gain 46-47 defence from the exp reward. It will either not level your combat, or gain you one level. It doesn't really matter, its more about the skill of the person behind the computer than the skills of that person. You should also level your prayer to 95 too.

 

you can have a max defense level of 48 with turmoil before it gets passed the zerker cap of i think its 112?

 

yea i guess ill start doing quest and paryer , if i still got time then 99 attak , by then i should know if defence is important or not , thanks everyone, answered my question
