    Account buyer question

So If I purchase an account and apply my own recovery's and change the email, assuming they don't have their original IP from when the account was created whats the chance of it being recovered? I 'm afraid to move over any large amount of GP to a purchased account :x

If the original owner knows specific details such as original IP, creation date, etc. they can easily recover it still.

Like I said, If they don't have the original ip will it be harder for them to recover if recoverable at all?

Set a bank pin and make the change thing 7 days. If you have all of the information set such as recovs, email and all of their old info then you will be able to recover at least 2-3 times before getting locked out. Then just move the money back to another account and report the scammer.

They don't need the original IP there are many other ways to recover the account, they can put in an appeal asking jagex to match their IP with the account they created and the current computer they're on. They can use previous passwords, recoveries, membership details, date created, etc. There are many ways they're able to recover.

What dds suggested doesn't really work now, as when you recover an account it sets a new email onto the account. This makes it a lot more difficult to recover if you don't have the original information or are the original owner. I'd advise only buying from trusted members of Sythe to help ensure they won't recover the account.
