new pipe soapstone

alright so i got this soapstone pipe and I dont know if it was worth spending the money i spent on it. I just got it a couple of minutes ago and it looks pretty nice. The only thing i dont like is that its a little heavy.



do any of you guys have any experience with stone pipes? Do they break easily? is it good material?

 

Pipes are generally pretty simple and theres no need to spend a lot of money on one (i don't know how much yours was). I'm sure that one is generally pretty durable which is a plus but you can get some pretty decent glass ones around here for less than $10

 

Not going to lie that's a really cool looking pipe you got What did you actually pay for it if you don't mind me asking?

You didn't get ripped off. That pipe is easily worth $15-20. I have like 5 smoke shops around me and I'm pretty sure they don't even sell stone pipes. I think it's awesome and I would definitely pay that much for one like it. Honestly cheap pipes aren't even worth buying most of the time. I've bought a few $5 bowls before and they are cheap feeling and break too easily. I've learned it's better to just invest a few extra bucks and get something nicer and more durable.

you think i should use screens or no?

 

I personally don't like them and a good size hole is what I look for most when buying a new bowl, but they are good if you need it. I can't really see the size on yours, but if bud falls through and it's always shitting on you, then you might as well use one.
