    Chargeback Help

My friend recently scammed me for about 200m rsgp and I want to chargeback the payment when he uses the money so I can fuck him over. How does this go? I call the credit card company and do they require the person in charge of the card with the name on it? Or I can speak to them and tell them what happened, and they will refund my money? Ty

Erm, you should try and call the credit card company. I do believe that you will need to be the owner of the card in order to file that "chargeback".

But you really shouldn't screw him over. 2 wrongs don't make a right. Try and get this settled as soon as possible.

Pokemoners has a great point when he says "two wrongs don't make a right."

Is this a real-life friend? Perhaps you could try and settle the situation amicably with this person by coming up with some kind of compromise or solution.

Also, I believe this should probably be moved to market discussion rather than the off-topic section.

Well, if its an online friend that doesn't respond to you after scamming you then the only justifiable way would be to issue a charge-back.

If he's a real life friend then perhaps talk to him about it.

    Chargeback Help

I'm just wondering if the bank would allow a charge-back? As it is virtual goods that you purchased from your "friend", I don't think the bank itself can do anything about it. Unless it was CC payment via PayPal then maybe a different story.
