fish mask will it be discontinued?

I have a question I got a fish mask and I was wondering how much is it worth street price and will it be discontinued? Because I don't think squel of nneptune will be around forever and if it becomes discontinued will it be the same price as santa's or not?



Just want some of you opinions please don't flame.

 

I was thinking the same thing and I'm actually going to stockpile a few of them if possible. I would advise you to do the same

 

Yes. Jagex have already confirmed that it will be a new discontinued item. There are plans for more items like this too.

The current price of it when I sold mine today like when I got a Fish mask from the Squeal of Neptune its worth and sold at G.E for 2.9M.

 

After summer its gonna be rare to get it in SoF but will still be tradeable and for price its like 3Mil

 

Then it'll become like santa's, h'ween's also it's blow bubbles effect's pretty cool

It's just another money making scheme jagex has come up with.

They will never be as rare as santas, partyhats etc. Never. Back when the old rares were introduced, no one knew about hoarding. No one hoarded partyhats, santas and other rares, they simply thought of it as junk.

Now people are hoarding fish masks, thinking it could become like those rares. But everyone that thinks so forgets to rule out, there was no hoarding back in the day. And less were in the game. Within the first 2 hours of its release, there were people showing 1,000 fish masks. I'd say there would be 100-200k by the time it's discontinued, possibly more when people buys sof spins. Overall, there will be enough for everyone in the game. Unless the game takes a huge boost where its players increases to 300k+ simultaneously, it won't be worth much.

 

Low chances and it took santas and h'weens along time to raise to the price it is now ....and do you really wanna wait years to raise lol

No. Way too ugly.

It wont be worth much, but it cant fall too drastically below 500k thats its high alch price.

 

I don't see why they're bring in new items and making them discontinued.

Should discontinue some of the older Special events items.

 

Those are already discontinued. You mean make 'em tradeable. That would give insane amounts for sythes, bunny ears and yoyo's, but I like it the way it is. Now I truly have respect if I see a character with bunny ears or Sythe. I've met so many players with phats with a truly awful character, I don't look up to partyhats anymore for a long while now. People who made that kind amount of money rarely play the game in a way that's good for the community, and truly enjoy it. But that's just how I see it.

As others have said, yes it will be discontinued. The mask itself is quite ugly and I doubt will be as fashionable as Santa hats or Partyhats. However, I expect the prices to dip really low at first and then rise after a couple of years.

 

Well, I wouldn't speak too soon. Party hats are pretty ugly too when you think about it... they are just dumb little paper hats. I don't think anybody expected that one day they would be worth billions of GP =|

 

Fish masks are SO ugly...it'll rise in price like pumpkins/easters did over time...but there's going to be so many in the game that it would take FOREVER for them to rise.

 

Jagex is not dumb, they know what they are doing when they make an exclusive item tradeable.

my guess is that they're trying to dilute the value of rares a bit.

although they did a good job making rares seem less ominous they sure did fuck over a lot of non-legit as well as legit rs players.

i dont like it but i see what they're doing
