Hot and Cold BS

So I'm out hosting some hot and cold bets..
One person bets 10M, i lost. He does 10 more, i lose.
He then goes in with 50M, i win. I'm finally happy because
before the 10M bets, I lost tons before but they werent
of much value. So the kid proceeds to bet 75M, i win again.
So, thinking I'm on a winning streak or something, I PM'd my
friend to bet me 450M for my purple phat (my most valueable item)
He comes over, bets the money, and we do flower poker.

First round: tie
Second round: tie
Third round: tie (my hearts going now)
Fourth round: he gets 1p and then a black flower. I had 1p.

That's gambling for you. You have to remember that previous results are in no way indicative of the next result.

Why you would trust a person not ranked in any major gambling fc's (whom you call your "friend") with your purple phat in the first place anyways?? Thats retarded. Im pretty certain that if it went the other way around and he lost, he woulda just logged out on you. Derpderpderp.

First 450m for a purple is the worst spec in rs considering it only costs 800.

Secondly win streaks and crap like that dont matter, each game is completely unique.

Third, if you were hosting hot/cold with a 58% win chance why move to flower poker with a 50% win chance for the big bet?

And lastly if that your most valuable item/bank why on earth did you allow someone to make a pot of it. You should never be risking over 10% of your bank.

Before I took a break from RS I used to host dice games. (of course the odds were 55% for the host 45% for the gambler.) I ended up making about 300M legit from it, but no more than 10 minutes I lost it all because of lucky rolls... The flower game actually is easier on hosts, you don't need to x3 if you get a certain color... 99 and 100 were x3 in dice and I cant tell you how many times it seemed to occur...

I have quit dicing and flower game all together now but still struggle to make money in RS. Only good way to make cash is to get lucky at bosses or in clues, pk *which on a main isn't too successful*, or scam/lure (which is harder than it used to be).

TBH the game has been ruined over the past few years. Inflation in game made RWT prices drop. I used to buy gold for $1.25 and sell on other sites for $1.50/m but now everyone seems to be in the same price range so its almost impossible to get a good market going if you are starting over -.-

 

well once you lose something like that in runescape you just feel like not doing anything anymore...I try my best to stay away from gambling but i go dragon dyce even now and then but only do small amounts of bets

 

Yeah, you have to be careful.

Gambling does not have conditional probability, it is still 50/50 that you will win the next time regardless of the previous result.
