    @@@ Aviansies guide ~ 285k-300k/ph @@@

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Before i start, the gear setups can be adapted to your likings, this guide was made on my zerker account, therefore i couldn't wear gear such as barrows and dragon. One piece of advice, don't wear barrows if you plan on staying at aviansies for a long time.

    Contents:
    I. What are Aviansies?
    II. Skill/Quest requirements
    III. Gear and setup
IV. Location and how to get there
    V. How to kill them
    VI. Disadvantages and advantages
    VII. Loot

    I. What are Aviansies?

Aviansies are bird-like creatures which honour the god Armadyl. They are often killed for their noted adamant bar drops. These creatures can only be attacked with magic and ranged, ranged being more preferred and cheap than magic. These monsters give great income to players of all levels. They are found in different combat levels. However, please note that the combat level of an Aviansie does not affect the drop rate of any item. (Except for effigies) Aviansies are found in combat levels: 69, 71, 73, 79, 83, 84, 89, 92, 94, 97, 131, 137, 148. As the drop rates are not affected by combat level, it is highly recommended that you take on the lower leveled Aviansies. These creatures are killed for their stackable drops and ranged experience.

    II. Skill/Quest Requirements

Although the only true requirements are 60 strength/60 agility and Death Plateau, these stats will get you nowhere. For quicker access to Trollheim, it is recommended that you complete Eadgar's Ruse and Love Story. Eadgar's Ruse allows you to use the Teleport to Trollheim spell. Love Story allows you to chip a teleport tablet into a Trollheim Tablet, ultimately saving valuble inventory space.

Another quest that should be considered is the Temple of Ikov. This is not absolutely required if you can afford other Armadyl items, but one of the items obtained in this quest (Armadyl pendant) is very useful to have in the God Wars Dungeon, as the majority of Armadyl items are fairly expensive.

As for skill recommendations, defence is not truly needed, as you can use the prayer method. However, 70+ defence will allow you to stay at aviansies for a long, long time. (If you have enough bolts and Bones to Peach tablets, you might be able to stay at Aviansies for even a year!) As for ranged, 70 will suffice, as this gives you the ability to wear god leather items. Magic is also a requirement, level 55 is required to high alch the rune daggers and limbs, which add up to about a third of your total cash. I don't recommend leaving the daggers and limbs.

    III. Gear and setup

Before you read on, please, please remember to wield one Zamorak item and one Armadyl item if you come to God Wars Dungeon. A saradomin item can also be brought, but is not needed.

Also, rock-climbing boots are needed in the inventory, or to be wielded.

If it is your first trip, replace a ranging potion with a rope.

    Zerker & main (45+ defence)

As stated earlier, i will be using gear with a minimum of 45 defence. If you have lower defence, please refer to the next section of the guide.

Unfortunately, zerker pures won't have much option for gear setups. Rune or rockshell legs should be greatly considered, as zerkers already have low enough defence. If you have a healing familiar (Titans/Unicorn), you can attempt to swap this out for black d'hide chaps. This is not recommended. Your best d'hide top is probably the smartest piece of armour to wear in the body slot. As for the crossbow, please note that the chaotic crossbow is not a wise choice, as the repair costs really bring down your profit p/hr and the added accuracy bonuses are not really needed at aviansies. Additionally, you'll have to bank atleast once every 10 hours to repair the crossbow. Bring decent bolts, mithril/broad/adamant should be fine. Although onyx bolts would kill very fast, they are just too expensive. Exactly why i didn't recommend Corrupt Morrigan's either. If you have a spirit shield, bring it. It is alot better than a rune kiteshield, as it doesn't lower the ranged attack bonuses. However, if you feel that you need the extra defence bonuses, bring a rune kiteshield. Ava's device is almost required here. If you don't have one at this level, there is something wrong with your account. Just bring a god cape/cloak to act as a god item if you don't have a device.

    * As you can see, you don't get the highest defence bonuses, but 160+ is what you're aiming for.

    Inventory

Although the ranging potions may be a waste of space if you're staying for longer periods of time, they really speed up your kills if you're doing a short trip. However, if you are doing a longer trip just swap them sharks or more food.

The adamant bar is a placeholder, because most of the time, i find myself struggling to find space for my drops earlier on in the trip, so i find it easier to bring a noted adamant bar. As for the runes and the fire staff, these are for high alching the rune daggers and limbs. Please be careful not to high alch your staff, especially if you're using a chaotic crossbow. A bunch of fire runes would be more safe.

    Pure/Praying method

Please note that zerkers or even mains can use this method if they feel that they will get hit too hard by the Aviansies. This method yields more kills per hour, but you stay for less time and spend more on supplies.

This setup has big differences from the previous one. Firstly, you will be maximizing your prayer and ranged attack bonuses. Why? You will be praying ranged, so you won't be getting hit by the Aviansies, so we want to get out the most damage we can, and maintain these bonuses for a longer time. So we want a higher prayer bonus. This can be achieved by wearing full elite void, god robe tops and mitres, stoles. However, when using void you will probably need a deflector. (shown in the picture) This allows you to wear an extra item, which in this case is going to be a god item, as void limits the amount of god items you can wear. I swapped the body for a zamorak body. However, if you have an unholy book, you have nothing to worry about.

Again, the rest is the same as the previous setup, broad bolts, chaotic crossbow, rock-climbing boots etc.

    * Void didn't give the prayer bonuses i expected, but you can always wear a god/sw cape
if you aren't too worried about losing bolts.

    Inventory

The inventory for this setup is almost identical to the previous one, but just that the sharks have been swapped for prayer potions. In this method, the ranged potions work much better as you will be staying at Aviansies for a definite time, and you will be able to keep your bonuses constant especially if you're using boosing prayers too.

    Prayers

Remember, you will always be praying 'Protect from Missiles'. It is your choice whether or not you want to use boosting prayers. I highly recommend it as you're already using the money on prayer pots anyways, and it's going to make kills alot faster. Here are the quick prayers you should have on.

    * If you don't have rigour, use eagle/hawk/sharp eye.

IV. Location and how to get there

Aviansies are located pretty far from any bank. But that's no problem because you don't have to bank at Aviansies. The problem is getting there. Many people find the path around Trollheim very confusing, and this is what actually discourages alot of people from coming to Aviansies. They just don't know what they're missing. I will try to make this section of the guide as simple as i can, please note that they have updated the path to GWD. You have to complete the new Death Plateau aswell. Please excuse my terrible diagrams.

This guide assumes you're starting in Burthorpe.

Basically, you run North and through Troll Invasion and into the cave you encountered during the Death Plateau quest.

    [IMG][IMG]
    * Lime path is where you follow. Easy enough?

Once inside this cave, you'll see another cave entrance, inside that cave entrance, (cave-ception) go inside it. Alright, i can't show you a map of this dungeon because RuneScape wouldn't let me. But basically whenever you see a ([IMG]) icon, go through/jump accross/swing the agility shortcut. Here are some hardcore shots i got.

    [IMG][IMG]
    * Awesome, i know.

Alright, once you leave the parkour cave, you're going to want to follow this path, in which, you will meet your Dad.

    * Dad is a level 101 troll.
** This path has some obstacles, you will need your rock-climbing boots to scale them

The cave you just entered only has one exit, so obviously head there. Now, in the next map, i will also show a route you can take if you teleported to Trollheim. This is how useful it is.

    * Blue path is from Trollheim, lime is from the cave.
** Very important. Unless you want to end up in lumbridge, pray range when you cross the red line.

Once there, you will want to push the boulder. In this guide i have not included the agility shortcut, simply because i haven't used it. I will add it once i have.

    * Inb4 99strength

Now, once you pass the first red line, you will notice that your health will start going down in 10's and your stats will be drained. Try to move as quickly as possible. When you reach the blue line, you want to pray melee. The red dots represent big bad wolves that will try to attack you.

Once you get to the hole, if it's your first trip to GWD, you are going to want to use your rope on the hole and climb down it. Once you climb down, immediately pray magic and run south. Run!

    * Pray magic while you are in the red box. Follow the lime path.

Once you arrive at the gap, wield your mith grapple and aim at the top of the pillar.

    * Please note that you don't need to go across the gap, you can fight them outside.
But since we don't have a saradomin item, it would be wiser to fight in the Eyrie.

Welcome to the Eyrie. A few things you should know though. The red boxes show the areas you'll want to be killing Aviansies. As i said earlier, the level of the Aviansies don't affect drops. So aim for lower leveled ones.

The area with yellow stripes can be good to kill Aviansies at times. But please be careful not to misclick on the door to Kree'Arra's chamber.

    V. How do you kill them?

Killing Aviansies has a whole sequence. This isn't just like killing Waterfiends or Dragons, you need to use skill. When you get to the Aviansies, take a sip of your super restore to boost back up from the skill drop in the snowy place. Sip your ranging potion and attack an Aviansie. You might notice that they attack immediately, if not before you attack them. Although fighting Aviansies is not that big of a challenge, you still need to watch out. Make sure to collect bones on the floor after every kill, if you have inventory space. (after you use up your starting food, whether it be sharks, rocktails etc.) Once you finally run out of food, and have a full inventory of bones, click on your Bones to Peach tablet. This will turn all of your bones (including big bones from the Gorak) into delicious peaches. These heal 80lp, i would use them when your hp is pretty high, to stop it from going really low and risking death. Basically you repeat the sequence. When you eat a peach, pick up bones, when you eat another, pick up more bones. Try not to attack too many Aviansies at once, because their damage output will be too much for your peaches to heal. Always prioritize your food in this order.

Starting food > Swordfish drop > Peaches > Bones

If you don't understand, that means, don't drop your starting food for anything. If you get swordfish drops, you can replace peaches and bones if you don't have inventory space. And, since you will be using bones to peaches, it is theoretically impossible to have more bones than peaches, so that means you should never replace anything with bones.

And, well... As for prayer, pray and sip i guess?

    VI. Disadvantages and advantages

This section isn't really needed, but i will list Disadvantages and advantages about Aviansies.

    I. Bots are a very common sight here, infact, here are some bots i found on my last trip. It's a shame the Aviansies are botted. Luckily for us, players training smithing help to keep the price up by buying adamant bars to smith.

    * Yeah, thats me near the bottom.

II. Aviansies are really boring. Infact, the bots actually keep me company sometimes. I highly recommend joining a friend/clan chat, and chat to some friends while killing Aviansies.

III. Aviansies are a very great way of making money and training ranged at the same time. This is why Aviansies are loved by so many.

IV. Another advantage, if you really feel like it, you can go try kill Kree if you have enough food left. Do remember that it is very unlikely that you will get your stuff back if you die soloing.

    V. If you die at Aviansies, it is a pretty long walk to get back, so be careful. Although these monsters can't hit very high, if you are being attacked by multiple Aviansies, you can die.

VI. Keeping your inventory in the correct order can sometimes cause problems, especially when deciding what to keep, swordfish, peaches or bones. And also juggling drops.

VII. It is possible to die if you misclick a spiritial mage/ranger, or click on Kree'Arra's door.

    VII. Loot

Basically, you will only really want to pick up coins, nature runes, blood runes, swordfish if you need them, adamant bars (of course), rune daggers p+ (these should be alched) and runite limbs (these should also be alched).

    Notes

    Code:
    [SIZE="1"][B][I]I. Strength route added.
II. New 'How do you kill them?' section added.
III. Added spiritual mages/rangers to list.
IV. Video added to pure section.[/I][/B][/SIZE]

A pretty decent guide. Thanks for the share man!
I remembered back then, there were no bots doing this at all.

Unfortunately, no. Even if you manage to get them killed, there will be gravestones protecting their items.

Not a bad idea, thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely add that to the next update.

Sorry for the lack of setups, more setups with different weapons and armour will be introduced in future updates.
