Little sythe problems

One of the most annoying things is when I go to post on a thread and I give a long and detailed reply. Or any reply actually since I don't post that much ATM then it says its posting and shows the loading thing and your reply and then it stays there for forever..and sometimes it doesn't even post and it just stays there! It sometimes happens when you edit a *thread too.And I also hate how the sites down a lot but besides that I love Sythe

What do you guys think about the posting thing though? Or is is it just me​

When you posted this (twice..) there was no text in your opening comment(another sythe mess-up...)... that's why i put durp lol then i get an infraction trololol..

it does that a lot for me too...I think sythe has a lot of little problems like that...

 

and the double posts are annoying too.And what are you derping at^^? i just saw you post 4 of the same replies on a thread so dont act like you dont have the same problem lul.

 

It happens, I find you have more success in making a post if you go to the 'make a post' screen rather than use the quick reply function.

Just click and then write out your post, you may find it still messes up here and there but you should find more success when posting a post.

 

Happens more often nowadays. I do hope Sythe will find a solution to all these lags.

The same thing happened to me a lot last night. Couldn't post for a couple hours :huh:
Just copy and paste your reply into TextEdit/Notepad and try again later.

Just started posting and i hate when the little wheel is waiting to post..

 

Whenever I post a really long-winded reply and it is taking forever to post, I usually make a habit of quickly copying & pasting the post into a notepad just in case it doesn't go through and I lose it. I've lost a few long and detailed responses because of that, and it sucks haha.

The worst is when I am in the middle of my mod duties and the servers are acting up. I don't know why, but it absolutely drives me crazy when I've just banned somebody based on a report, but I am unable to finish writing up the report or close the thread because of the server issues. It makes me feel like the job is incomplete and like if I leave without finishing, I will forget about it and that person will slip through the cracks and get back on the site. I sat there for like an hour last night trying to finish up 3 reports that I had just finished but was unable to complete haha >_<

What i do is i refresh the page in a new tab when this happens and if it hasnt posted then i proceed to post again.

 

Only one thing for it really. Roll on VB4. Can't wait for that, hopefully Richard is done soon.

 

Solution: Go back to the previous page and look at your post content. Then try posting again, and it will work.

It's something that happens with the vBulletin and server that the software runs on. Not THAT big of an issue, but it defiantly could be worked on. Just give the administration some time.
