    A few questions - Thanks

So you'll most likely continue seeing me here, and you'll see me do this a lot. I have a few questions on Runescape Classic after looking into the game last night. So I'll just write out my thoughts and anybody with a few answers who could help me out would be real appreciated :D It will mostly have to do with coming across an account and playing the game.

    1. Do you need continuing membership to play RSC or do you just need a F2P account that at used RSC in the period of time given for the account? (It's like sometime between 2004-2006 and then they had a re-opening for 2 weeks sometime in September)

    2. If you play, do you like the sleeping bag idea? I looked into it as well and it seemed more than interesting, not because of the bot-killing aspect simply because I had never seen that in a MMO before and it intrigued me.

    3. How much would it cost me to come across a RSC account?

    4. I know that the log in for RSC is the same one used for RS2, so would there actually be anybody with an RSC account that they don't use for RS2?

    5. (This question is more for Acc trading in general) I always worry of buying an account, only to have it recovered. I've heard horror stories of buying accounts and using them for months upon time only to have them recovered and lose all the items they traded over. Basically, that being said, my question is do people generally update their Recovery Questions for you so that your account isn't stolen back? Like how is it guaranteed by the seller that you will keep your account? Sorry4noob.

    6. For people who do play, do you like the way the skills are set up more in RSC or in RS2? I've seen videos and to be honest I think I liked the woodcutting in RSC more than I like it in RS2, the idea of 'Failing' a woodcut makes it seem more laborious for leveling making it that much more rewarding.

So yea those are my questions. If you have even a slight answer to a few of them feel free to leave a few sentences or just leave, that's cool too ^_^

    Sincerely,
dat Jackaboss dewd (lol he so noobz)

    1. To have RSC access, you must have either logged in once during August, 2005 and February, 2006, or during one of the three Classic reopening periods. Regarding the the first case, anyone who failed to log into their RSC account during this period had their account locked out and, essentially, completely wiped (stats and bank). If you did log in during that period, your RSC account would be considered a "Veteran", and you would be able to log into the Veteran server. Regarding the membership question, you can't log in to RSC if your account is not a member, but you will still have access if you renew your subscription, provided you meet one of the qualifications stated above.

2.) I like the sleeping bag idea, but in certain situations it can be a pain in the ass. For example, if you're training your account in an area crowded with monsters and reach 100 fatigue, you have to run far enough away so that nothing will attack you and disturb you while sleeping. It is also annoying if you're skilling somewhere and forget a bag, and there are no beds close by. Sleeping with a sleeping bag decreases your fatigue slowly, not all at once, whereas sleeping with a bed (beds are not everywhere) decreases your fatigue almost instantly.

3.) I don't know the answer to this, but it depends on its skills (obviously) and the items/gold on the account, as well as whether or not it is a veteran. I highly recommend you don't buy an account, because they can easily be recovered by the original owner, with or without recovery questions.

4.) I'm not sure what you're asking. If you're asking whether some people have a level 3 RS2 account with like a level 100 RSC account, then yes. Most of the time, however, the RS2 account is greater than level 3. Plenty of people who have RS2 account with levels strictly play RSC, I used to be one of those people.

5.) See the second half of my answer to question 3.

6.) I grew up playing classic in 2002 and 2003, so it brings back many of memories for me. I still do enjoy the game a lot more, (even though I don't really play either game) and wish it was never closed. The three hit system, staking system, graphics, tedious and long leveling, community, market, and even the quests seemed a lot more enjoyable than the current RuneScape. Although, in my opinion, RS2 was still quite fun up until around late 2006, it's just no where near the same as RSC.

I'm not at all trying to advertise, but if you want to give RSC a try, there's a private server called RSCEmulation that's about as close to the real thing as you'll get, without actually playing RSC, of course.

I'd say if you're looking to buy an account, look for an old member with like 100+ vouches, and preferably some account selling vouches...But even then, you have no guarantee of it not being recovered...

And I am pretty sure you need 24/7 member's to play.

    Ok thanks guys.

I've played RSCEmulation I just for some reason really wanted an actual RSC account. I don't really necessarily want a Veteran, but I'm sure I could find a trusted user who has a members account I can buy.

UNLESS, that is, there is going to be another RSC opening at some point. If anybody has any news of this happening please tell me, thanks. :D

I would let you *share* my RSC account, provided that you pay members. Only reason I'm asking is because I'd like to get back into it myself. Of course, you could use it most of the time since you'd be funding it memberwise.
