    What he said.

There is something at walmart, you can take a picture of you 2, and get the picture ingraved into a silver or gold heart, and it's put on a chain so she can wear it on her neck and i got that for one of my ex girlfriends when we were still dating and she loved it. Also take some flowers into a restraunt earlier in the day and tell them that you are coming in later for your girlfriends 18th birthday and that once you sit down and order to have someone bring out a little birthday cake or ice-cream with the flowers and that picture heart thing? :D seems like a great idea!

What type of girl is she? I recommend taking her out to a nice restaurant and a movie. Then maybe giving her some sort of jewellery?

What to buy for girlfriend for 18th birthday?

When my ex was having her 16th I took her to this massive shoe shop in the city and told her to go nuts. (This is not a good idea if you don't have a large wallet)

Since she's a girly girl (like me) I can tell you what would be some of the best ideas to get her!

Michael Kors watch - these can run from $150-200, you should take it with her to a jewelry store to get it resized. I'd go with a stainless steel one (but a rose gold one would look great too). Ceramic black/white are all right - but if you don't know her style/the clothes she wears, it could be harder to match.

Ray Bans - These can run from $150-200 as well. Ray Ban aviators are always a great gift for a girl who likes dressing up with style and looking fancy. The only problem I see with this is that you'd have to take her to a Sunglass Hut to get it since they're kind of hard to see if they fit (55mm works for me but I have a small head).

Longchamp tote bag - they're a necessity for any girl these days. :D You can get it at Nordstrom's and get a color that's more neutral and can go with anything (I love the navy color). The decently sized one that you can use throughout the semester is $145 + tax.

I think any of these would be a great gift. If you wanted to splurge more, you can buy her Tiffany & Company's necklace or bracelet. I know I got one that was around $300 and it was a fantastic gift. :)

    Yeah, sounds pretty gay.

Or can't you go to some place for a romantic weekend?

What to buy for girlfriend for 18th birthday?

Take her out for food, or take her somewhere for a weekend. A holiday possibly?

I personally wouldn't go for material gifts.

Like people have said getting something material is good and would probably be extremely appreciated, but also something personal could be good. I've seen this done before and it works extremely well (if they are not the shy type), is if you know someone who is good with camera's and editing, why not make a video showing how much you love her, and then see about getting your local cinema to slot it into the adverts of a film. Take her out to watch a movie that she likes (make sure you get the name of the film a few days before hand if the cinema is ok to add the video), and while your sitting there watching the trailers yours will come up.

For the material side of things, Jewelry is always a good option as long as you know the style of jewelry they like, i dont know about Poland but in England, Pandora Bracelets are hugely in style now and are a great gift + investment. You can buy ones completely full, or buy the bracelet itself and buy a couple of charms for it, and slowly add more over the following months. Clothes are a slight iffy thing as even if you know the style of clothes she likes, and the size of clothes she wears, some shops will miss-match the labels on clothes (very rarely but does happen), and you might end up buying her something she would love, but in the end could possibly be too small or too large for her which could make her feel bad about her size (either feeling too skinny or too large). Handbags are great presents for girls as they will always be used whether just for special occasions or for general use, but in the whole larger hand bags are good. If you have a larger budget a friend of mine recently got his GF an "Aspinal of London" handbag for her 21st Birthday and she absolutely adored it and they do various styles which im sure one would match her taste.
