    Best Dubstep Bands?

I said "ol' fashioned Canadian filth", not "Old fashioned dubstep" and "Canadian filth." It was an expression, and what I was saying was that there is nothing better than some "Good old Canadian filth" in regards to some of the grimy ass artists we have here, to put it in layman's terms for those of you who have a hard time grasping that concept.

Derpppp. Think before posting next time.

Butch Clancy has some of the best remixes in dubstep I have ever heard. J-Rabbit is another good one, but hard to find on anything other than Soundcloud.

He knows what he's talking about:

Flux Pavillion - Easily the best in my eyes
Zomboy - has some nice stuff
Cookie Monsta - Check out Riot or his prrvious stuff.
    Datsik - well he's sick.
    Bare Noise
    Noisa
Modestep - Band is pretty good.
Knife Party - You know why i chose this.
    Nero
    Gemini
Skream - Roots of Dubstep. Not mainstream so you may not like.
Benga - Smack your bitch up.

That should be good to get you started.

I absolutely hate when someone says "Oh, I don't listen to _____, they're mainstream.."

Why does it matter if they're mainstream or not? If their music is good, who the fuck cares?

Also, Modestep actually IS a Dubstep BAND(I know it's been posted already), a pretty great one at that. Check out Sunlight. Great song with a great video.

UKFDubstep isn't too well with giving out great tracks.. I'm beginning to think they just post any Dubstep song by a famous producer once it's released..

If you want a good Dubstep channel, try InspectorDubplate, IEMDubstep, & VitalDubstep. They have some good stuff.

    Anyway, on topic.

I'm a fan of ALL Dubstep, but I'm more into the more melodic tunes.. not the full-on bass & wobbles such as Excision & sometimes Datsik. Excision's "X Rated" is still one of my favorite tracks today.

If you're looking for the heavy bass/no melody artists, I really wouldn't be able to help you; I know a few but it's not my favorite.

As for my type of Dubstep, check out:
    Borgore
    SKisM
Porter Robinson(He only has one Dubstep song that I've heard(The State), but it's pretty good & I'm sure he'll make more)
Kill The Noise(Greatest drums & glitchy patterns I've ever heard)
    Delta Heavy
    Flux Pavilion
    Doctor P
    Noisia
Gemini(I prefer his Electro House, but some of his remixes are great)
Knife Party(Not EXACTLY Dubstep, but very very close, and very very great music)
Skrillex(Not exactly Dubstep, but close & really good(although he tends to make most of his tracks sound the same))
    Caspa
    Bar9
    Cookie Monsta
    Kill Sonik
    Roksonix
    12th Planet
    Bare Noize
    Boyz Noize
    Nero
    Flinch

Can't believe no one mentioned Borgore...

Those are some that just popped up in my head with a bit of reference to my library. But definitely check those out.

Also, if you aren't close-minded about EDM(Like I used to be), check out some Moombahton. It's similar to Dubstep, but slowed down.

Check out Dillon Francis or Alvin Risk.

Yeah I get what you mean but generally what I mean is that people where I live still bang on about fucking skrillex, he only has so many tracks that are decent, after hearing them a few times they get boring/annoying fast. I need some variety.

Yeah I'm into more of the articulate tracks, not just straight drops and that. They should accentuate the track, not be the focus of it.
