Surprised there is no thread on this yet. I guess everyone really has stopped giving a fuck about the SoF.

What's your opinion on this update?

Only thing I actually dislike is the amount of coins given out. I remember camping f2p moss giants with 4 other people in every world and thinking I was rich getting black sq drops for 1.4k. Now it seems f2p are getting hand fed 1000s each day. Oh well

From a p2p players perspective I just hope there's more chance of lamp drops, that's what I really find value in

 

Even more reason it's RWT to buy spins with these new coin updates. Now you're actually paying for significant chance to win significant amounts gold

 

Yeah but the exchange rate of $ for gp is MUCH higher compared to buying from black market (or so I very well hope)

 

First people bitch about not getting anything during SOF, now once they add more chances to win things now people will complain about how its going to mess up the economy....

 

Clearly, Jagex is in need of a quick dose of cash.

To individual players, this would seemed to be a good idea seeing that they will get more on every spin on an average. On a whole grander scale, this will cheapen RSGP.

 

Yeah, and it should always stay that way.

I for one, as an average player, look kindly to this update. Maybe, just maybe there's a chance that I can win a rare item on there. But sadly I know full well this is more than enough of an incentive for people to buy spins and get further than me in the game :/

 

I dont really care for lucky claws or godswords /divines ..im more concentraded on the non tradeable items they got in SoF

just enjoy the updates ...

 

I'm fine with it more free XP for me.

 

I really just like the lamps too. Personally I think the wheel is crap, and should be taken out of the game entirely.

 

why is it crap? it dosent effect you in anyway...and some people find it fun

 

It affects runescape and he presumably plays runescape. How does it not affect him?

 

Why is everyone failing to read this? They're only increasing some of the chances - indecently the useless ones anyways. I agree that the coins are a bit much, but honestly if you're willing to spend that much on spins that you can actually make money out of it, then I'm pretty sure you're a part of the blackmarket anyways.

I have gotten 3 before, I think all you need is a bit of luck. As for the update, I do not look forward to it, even lower item prices are ahead of us now.. And all I focus on on the SoF are exp lamps

 

its not always about what some people want its what the whole runescape community wants...

I actually like this alot....I mean I need lamps, so I hope they get it..but now it might not be a bother to play the sof and always get 50gp -_-

also, kabal, it doesn't affect him directly, unless people start getting rare weapons and armor all the time, it shouldn't really affect the market for them (therefore, not affecting him) and if he doesn't want to play it, he doesn't have to.

 

Wonder if this update will be significant enough (and implemented correctly) to make me actually not regret the time taken to spin the SoF
