I predict Philly to beat Celtics, and Heats sweeping them or at least going 4-1, with Spurs beating OKC in 6 or 7.

Easier said than done. Westbrook is an offensive machine, sometimes at the detriment of his team, and has a lot of improvement defensively. Parker has better court vision, more playoff experience, and is a much better distributor than Westbrook. And with a plethora of offensive options, the staple of which being Duncan, Westbrook is going to have an extremely tough time containing him.

Parker also received 41 All NBA 1st-Team votes whereas Westbrook only got 5.

Regarding Ibaka/Perkins controlling Duncan, I don't see it happening. Both are great defenders, but Duncan is so versatile it won't matter. He's good at finding the open man when he's doubled, knows how to draw fouls, solid free throw shooter, great hook shot, decent mid-range, and can easily post up either Perkins or Ibaka.

A third person to factor in is Ginobili, who's finally healthy and no doubt aching for another title run. If he doesn't start, his fresh legs will rip apart OKC's secondaries, and he can still cut the lane/dribble drive with the best of them.

That's not to say that OKC doesn't stand a good chance of winning, but it's going to be a very cut-throat series, I'm excited to say the least, and being from Texas I'm fine with either team advancing ^_^

I see the SAS vs OKC game in such a different perspective to what is now seen as the stereotypical "vets vs newcomers" game. The offensive ability of the spurs is no doubt better than OKC. Their ability to find easy looks, the team chemistry and their ability for BOTH their big men (diaw and bonner) to hit 3's puts SAS at a far more advantage on the offense than OKC.

Though if the game came down to a go ahead bucket to win the game or something similar, I would give OKC the slightest advantage over SAS just because of Kevin Durant's ability to come in the clutch.

I'll have to disagree with you on that one. OKC has the best pure shooter in the NBA in Kevin Durant. The matchup between Westbrook and Parker will no doubt be one of the best in the playoffs and I believe that OKC has the offensive advantage over the Spurs.

I personally feel that the Spurs are a little overrated now since they've swept the last 2 teams, but let's be realistic: the Clippers and Jazz were easily the worst teams in the playoffs. OKC swept the defending champions and easily took care of the Lakers.

    OKC > Spurs

I predict Heat pwning the Thunder in the finals. I'm not even a fan of Heat, but they have shown just how dominant they are throughout the season. With D.Wade and James there is no way they could lose to OKC.

Yeah I can see where you're coming form. no doubt OKC has one of the best 1-2 punches with KD and westbrook, however Spurs also have a great pair in parker and duncan, and an even better rotation than OKC.

I've been saying the spurs would win it since the very beginning, I don't even realize how they did it but they have manu and stephen jackson (20++ ppg at charlotte) coming off the bench aswell, its just that every person on the spurs roster has great offensive ability whereas not everyone in OKC does.

Alot will be said in this first game, get excited OKC VS SPURS

The Spurs are so confident in themselves...It is like the perfect line between being cocky and confident. Its astonishing that they know they are older and worn but stay calm and come back, against LA was one but OKC? Wow.. And I didn't hear about them till maybe a month ago... Great Job sportscenter lol. If they play like that from here out hand them the trophy.

I knew Ginobili was going to be a factor, but DAMN he went off last night. On OKC's end, DFish was a sleeper, he had a solid game last night.

As much as I like the Thunder, I'm still gonna go with the Spurs on this one, their defense last night was pretty spot on. Parker outplayed Westbrook, Ginobili outplayed Harden, and Durant was held to 42% shooting, but still managed 27 points (11 of which were from free throws). Duncan had a double-double with 16 points/11 rebounds, and did a good job plugging up the lane (Westbrook shot an abysmal 33%)

With San Antonio holding home court advantage, I don't see them losing this series, but they no doubt have to continue giving it their all. Interested to see Game 2 and how things will shift once the series moves to Oklahoma City.

For a team like OKC to be one of the most clutch teams in the NBA, they still couldn't get the job done. Whenever San Antonio holds a lead in the fourth quarter, they never let go of it and it's been proven in the regular season. The Spurs defense was right on and Parker did a great job limiting Russ to 33% shooting. OKC's going to have to rely on their non-superstars (Ibaka, Sefolosha, etc.).

It seems that Spurs have found that one weakness in our Thunder: defending the paint.

I'd just like to remind all of you guys of my previous post ^^^

Whoa there. You're a bit off.

Nah. Celtics are too clutch. In case you guys have forgotten, pierce is one of the most clutch players in his generation.

Heats had a good game tonight, kept Rondo on lock, as long as they keep him from getting more triple doubles then this should be a easy series.

Solid game by the Heat. LeBron shows why he is the MVP. Heat in 5 because Boston will not be able to catch up on the rest. Headed on a 8 hour road trip to south beach tomorrow with the family. Me and my dad got heat tickets for 70 bucks on stubhub and they might get cheaper after this win today. I am lucky as hell because I am going to visit more family in Austin, TX during the finals...Hope the Heat can make it!
