Ban IRL Money-Making guides

I used to be relatively active in the guide sales market and I've bought a few guides, but what I've come to see is that all of the IRL money making guides I have ever seen can be found over the internet using Google relatively simply. Instead of going through the long process of trying to force all guides to be verified, I feel it is safe to say that it would be simplest to not allow any money making guides to be placed in the IRL section. That doesn't prohibit RS guides, but only IRL ones. This would probably be the cleanest and simplest solution to not only the GTdarkpunisher problem but also the whole verification issue.

I wouldn't support completely removing them because there is always the chance of getting a legitimate one, however I do support a more rigorous guide selection process, such as what has been suggested in the past due to the amount of guides that are either common knowledge or can be found with a bit of research on the internet.

This...a guide to making irl money is WAY to easy to find. These guides could include anything, and many i find are (chances are) just guides saying fill out surveys.

If i made a guide that said making 1 million a month, and the guide its self said be the CEO of a new and up coming software company you can't say i am wrong but ITS complete bull to sell the guide.

 

A lot of guides are actually common sense tbh, google it, click the top answer, then complete what it tells you to. It isn't really fair to those say who are telling you legitimate guides about niches in the market, where they are, how you find them or IRL merching guides etc. But I still support the guides who have been verified.

 

I've already pointed this out, several times - as has Gt and many more but nothing has been done and every thread is locked.

I can find any money making guide on the internet, rewrite it in my own words, and then sell it for $5.00. It's quite sad that this flawed system has gone on this long.

Lillie's guide was pointed out by gtdarkpunisher to be another free guide on the internet. He pointed it out in his sig, and thus was banned for leaking.

 

I did not know that, just I presumed that the amount of good reviews etc meant that it is legitimate, if that is the case, I unsupport lillie and agree with OP entirely ^^

 

Out of the dozens of guides i have read, I've found that few are actually viable. I do not think they are worth banning, though. It's up to the user to exercise caution when purchasing, although I feel this caution should be deeply suggested with stickies.


Also, please note that if any evidence of a guide being "re-written" is found, or if it is of absurd techniques or quality, it will be locked.

 

I dont think we are suggesting being banned, just taking them off the site making them un-buyable.

I would have said that as well, but several months in I still haven't seen any legitimate guides and I"m feeling that it would make the most sense simply to ban them altogether and just infract anybody who posts one.

No I didn't mean to ban users who post them, I meant to ban the sale of the guides and infract the user

You all misunderstood me. I was referring to the proposed "banning" of guide sales.

 

I'd honestly have to disagree, there are some good guides out there that are worth it.

 

eh... honestly imho any guide related to earning money could be heresay/passed on as free/easy to find on google.


whih boils down to how much effort was out in to make it better then what they found, because lets face it, i highly doubt most of these guides out there, the person selling them is accly doing the method involed.

 

Support - mostly all guides are crap and give you enough money to buy a pack of gum. They're worthless in my opinion, and true that most of these guides are just reworded common sense ways of making money.

 

I made $100 this week off of a guide I read a while ago.

 

Hmm... Most of these IRL money-making guides are really google-able and as such, it should be free knowledge to all.

But then some of those guides may be self-written and the methods are what they discovered for themselves. This kind of guides when verified would definitely be a good buy.
