The bukkit build is outdated by 1.2.4, will update when I get home

 

minecraft is being a troll. right when bukkit is updated to 1.2.3, they make a new 1.2.4 so we have to update bukkit again.

You can try, I didn't consciously do anything to allow them though, so if they don't work by default with bukkit builds, then probably not


EDIT: restoring a backup from this morning, griefer team came by and ravenged noam's building :c

 

I actually had a really long and helpful talk with one of their members, he was really cool. He said they were moving on to another server, but either way, I'll tighten anti-griefing security here soon in case they decide to harass us more, or if someone else worse comes along.

For the record, I wasn't following or banning heavily because I already have a backup, and I was watching on the dynmap, and smiting if they made the griefing obvious

AND I DO TOO KNOW HOW TO BAN c.c

 

I'll go and IP hammer the Lulz faction members tomorrow if they do anything else

I wasn't trolling, I just didn't care if they griefed, I'd backed up that morning when I posted the IP on minecraftforum.net. I figured I might as well have fun too and smite them if they didn't get away fast enough when I came running at them

 

still, you know how to make greifing fun, well catching the greifer atleast.

I'm now in the process of making a giant wheat farm as well. The updated height limit is very tedious though

 

Permissions completed, mod usergroup added, but I won't be using it just yet. Still sticking with my two opers only.

Default has build and faction permissions. If you run into a problem with permissions, unable to /spawn for example (which is likely, not sure if I set that, I don't remember), please post the issue here on this thread. Thanks.

 

iConomy and ChestShop has been implemeted. Create a sign directly above a chest with the following format:

This means that DraganJano owns the shop, and to buy one diamond it costs 3 dollars. Additionally, the shop can be sold diamonds for 1 dollar if the owner can afford it.


To get your initial 30 dollars, type /money upon logging in. To buy from a shop, right click, to sell, left click. If you own the shop, left clicking will open your inventory to restock.

No, activity wasn't good enough to keep it going. I didn't have time, money, or the knowhow to invest in ways to get more regular users beyond the few already on sythe who play.

The IP that was sold to me was a recycled IP. Therefore, we have 5-6 users who aren't from sythe; they're from the server who had the IP before me (starting with 108.xxx.xxx.xxx etc). Additionally, I'm in the midst of switching over the 10 or so kids who play minecraft online at the YMCA where I work, so that's another nice chunk of people to play the server. Hopefully, along with the sythefags who play, we'll have a good starting userbase.

WITH a good userbase, we should be able to capture the attention more members who would normally pass by the meager 2-3 regular users we've had in the past. I'm going to be looking into massive advertisement too, so we may also have to put up with randomfags.. but, with some luck, we can get some decent members that way too.
