Got a keylogger

I've got a keylogger on my laptop (using desktop atm)
I fear that I may have lost my 300m bank and Stui's 50M (training his account) What should I do to get rid of the keylogger?

NOTE: Logging into accounts now to check if the gps there :S

 

Download malware bytes.. and scan. Should get rid of it.

 

Microsoft Security Essentials also works well, assuming you have a pc and not a mac

 

Download MalwareBytes and get Kaspersky if you are willing to buy a subscription and scan. Change all your passwords on a different computer.

With the GP, as long as there was a bank pin, there shouldn't be a problem with losing the GP. Keyloggers can't detect mouse movement, only keystrokes.

Key loggers can't get your bank pin. This is where you fucked up. You stole Stui's 100m and you're blaming it on a keylogger. Nice idiot.

This would be hilarious if he had a keylogger and just proved that he hacked Stui.

Honestly, how many people would say "and Stui's 50m" too? I feel as you're only thinking about your bank and safety when it first happens.

Then you realize other people that may be affected my your stupidity.

 

Actually keyloggers can't get bank pins but RAT's can.

 

Yea... only RATs can see what you key into the bank pin.

Using MalwareBytes will help clean your desktop.

 

Seems fishy.

You say in your post that you know there is a keylogger on your computer before you even check to see if money is on the accounts. This means that the Runescape accounts isn't your main concern -- which is understandable. But why, then, would you come and post on a Runescape-related forum about it?

Either way, assuming "Stui" (whoever that is) lost 50m¹ or 100m² due to a keylogger on your computer, you are responsible.

 

Pretty obvious you're just setting this up to get the 50m/100m off of stui's account. Either way, you're going to get banned and have to pay him back the money if you want to get unbanned.

Be careful, must likely you got Rat:ed not keylogged. Turn off your webcam, and ask a friend or use another computer to change all your password. Then just formate your PC.

 

Whatever the case may be, Stui will warrant and require a full reimburse I imagine if you want to stay in this community - you're reasonable, whether this is a legitimate keylogger or not.

I have very little sympathy, if you have been infected then that's unfortunate, but next time you'll just have to be more careful.

Download Malware Bytez, and go into safe mode and do a deep scan.

 

If they got your pin it was a rat, however you will have to pay stui back as it was your fault your computer became infected.
