Auction house - Good or Bad?

BLizzard have anounced that on the 30/5/12 the Gold Auction house will be open for users to buy and sell there gold. Now I have been buying and selling gold on many diferent games for years to make a bit of extra money...

Do you think this will destroy any way of making money of this game?

 

No. Not at all. It will be another outlet to make money if anything. Most people will stick to black market trading due to the limitations that the AH has on it.

Also, gold is very, very useful in-game, and has plenty of exit points, which means that gold will almost always be in demand and will retain stable prices most likely.

 

I sure do Hope you are right, I was also thinking that a lot of people will not want to pay the 15% so Im hoping this could be one of those games that's fun and a good profit.

 

I thought the real money auction house was to sell items for real money not gold?

 

There are two general types of items for sale on the auction house: Equipment, such as weapons and armor, and Commodities, such as crafting materials, gems and gold.

 

Im not sure to tell you the truth, but there is a section that says "GOLD" Coming 30/5/12.

 

The real-money auction house and the gold auction house are separate things.

 

The market will die very quickly once bots are out. The whole reason that RWT is able to net some profit is that not every bill, bob and judy is willing to risk there neck rwting. Now that it is allowed everyone will be looking to make some cash no matter how small which will drive the price down to oblivion.

 

I believe you may be right, although not many people will have enough stock to even make it worth their while to sell the gold do to Blizzard taking 15% of everything sold on the RMAH.

 

It depends on how easy it is to farm cool items. I only played the guest version or whatever it is called and it seemed quite easy to make cash to me.

 

It will not destroy it, it will benefit the economy if you ask me, as all the gold is bought from other players.
