Name transfering methods, whats the safest way?

I read on RS wiki website that a name is reserved for 28 days after it is changed and atleast another 7 days depending on how long you have had the name for until it is available for anyone in the public to take it. Now how do i transfer my name safely without having what some ppl call name sniping bots take it? some people

i've heard from people that it takes months and months after youve changed your rsn before it becomes released but then again i heard some people say only 28 days + 7 days = 35 days. Any suggestion?

some people say transfer your name right after an update so all bots will get kicked off and you wont have your name sniped but how would you know when an update is to time it so u can change your name? EG you changed your rare name to another rsn and you have to wait atleast 28 days before you can change it again so that you can transfer that rare name to another account but what happens if on the 25 or say the 26th day the update happens and your not eligible to change your name again and you miss out on the update? Surely they wont be another update within 2-3 days after a system update.

also if someone knows a name sniping bot please link it or any name transferring guides will give someone 10m rsgp and vouch them if they can solve my problem.

 

Ok well lets say you have 2 accounts.

Your main account and the one with the rare name.

Lets call you main account "main"

and the rare name "Rare"

1)rare needs to be a member for at least 2 months. Change rare to something else, for example "notrare". It will say previously known as rare when hovered over.

2) you must not change your name on the main account as you are wanting to put "rare" on that account.

3) after you have changed 'rare' to 'notrare' look at the date and TIME you can change the name again. The name will not be able to be sniped for 7 days after you can change it from 'notrare'.

4) once the day and time comes when you can change the account 'notrare' to something else. get 2 computers loaded up and both to runescape.

5) on one pc login and go to the name change section on 'main'

6) on the other pc login and go to the name change section on 'notrare' (previously known as rare'

7) change the name on 'notrare' to something completely dfferent. as soon as you click confirm the name 'rare' will be available for anyone to take. therefore it is vital you are prepared for the next step instantly

8) as soon as you release the name 'rare' on pc 2 jump on pc 1 and change 'main' to 'rare' and you have successfully transferred the name.

A few useful tips:

Also NEVER tell anybody you are transferring a name. I don't even tell my friends incase one of them says something to someone else and it spreads like a game of chinese whispers.

NEVER try the offensive accoutn name transfer method. Trust me the name could easily be locked, account perm banned or the name could be sniped as soon as it becomes available. Paying for 2 months membership and transferring it the 99.99% safe way is always best.

also it helps to transfer a name right after an update. the name sniping bots people use generally wont work after a major update sometimes.
