    Xbox 360 Sales Ban?

Due to patent infringement issues with Motarola, Microsoft has been taken to court. The judge has recommended banning sales of the xbox 360 in the US.

Got linked this in the IRC, and I first thought it was a joke, but apparently the sale of xboxs are already banned in Germany. Being an xbox fanboy, I'm hoping this will be solved soon in court and doesn't end up spreading to Canada. I'd hate to see Xbox sales halted even for a short period of time. Even though this doesn't affect me personally, I'd hate to see this pass and watch the community shrink, and the price of the system rise.

    Thoughts?

Idk, Obama has the final decision so if he thinks like "Oh, video games are ruining kid's lives, blah blah blah" Like most people from his era, then he will ban it. I'll tell you what though, if he does ban it, he can for sure NOT expect a re-election for himself.

That would be stupid, and it's stupid that Motorolla is going to these lengths. I think if it comes down to it, Microsoft will just got Motorolla a bunch of money to let it go. There would be a ton of pissed consumers if this happened.

    Xbox 360 Sales Ban?

it is just a ban on selling the slim line of xbox 360s nor the regular xbox 360s so if they were to ban the selling of slim xbox 360s in the US (which microsoft wont let happen) im sure they have plenty of the regular and elite 360s sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

    Xbox 360 Sales Ban?

Xbox 360's won't be banned from sales. Microsoft simply won't allow for it to happen, they'll be fighting for it because they know it'll lose them a shitload of money all in all.

    Xbox 360 Sales Ban?

They wouldn't be allowed to sell the console, that wouldn't affect xbox live as this does not (well it shouldn't anyway) contain components of motarolas copyrighted tech.

My first thoughts, Obama will go and grab a 360 before he decides on it haha.

    Xbox 360 Sales Ban?

The question is will they reimburst people for dlc stuff, because in my eyes it looks like live will be taken down, if you read on (in my case I read mw3 case) they reserve the right to shut the server down if it comes down to it based on if they're making money.

Plus, this also means jobs lost+fewer selling games, I don't think obama is going to ban xbox, although I do see some nice hefty fee's.
