    Should alcohol be illegal?

the only reason i would think it should be illegal is because marijuana is illegal. do not misunderstand me though, I do not believe either should truly be illegal. It is ridiculous that our country is advertised as a "free" one, when it so clearly is not

I don't believe alcohol should be illegal. Teenagers in the US have grown to abuse the substance. If children were educated and able to access alcohol I would see more control of how they drink and less abuse.

How are cigarettes not a more obvious choice if you are going to make something illegal?
They kill far more people than alcohol. Also, prohibition was terrible so no.

    Should alcohol be illegal?

    @ OP:

No because studies show that one glass of wine is actually good for you. Along with the fact, as others have stated, prohibition causes more crime than it solves.

Of course not, it isn't alcohol that's killing thousands of people on our roads, its retards who lack self control and brainpower to make an informed decision and would rather risk the lives of complete strangers than leave their car to get towed.

Alcohol as illegal - no it shouldn't.
If it was illegal, people could still make alcohol and sell it to trusted clients.

I don't think alcohol should be illegal. As much as I love alcohol however, its possible that alcohol would cause less problems if it were more strictly regulated. I think people should always have the choice to consume psychoactive substances if they want to, but you can't deny that alcohol is that the root of many problems out on the streets, especially ones involving violence.

With alcohol being legal and so readily available, it is quite hypocritical when compared to other substances that are criminalized yet have a significantly smaller affect on society. However, that debate is an entire other issue on its own.
