    Fate of the universe?

Apparently the universe is expanding but not at a steady rate..it is actually accelerating. This means one of two things, 1) there is a force pushing the edge of the universe out (dark enery) 2) there is something outside the edge of the universe pulling it.

What I like to think is that there is another universe outside our universe pulling us towards it and vice versa. I think there are many universes. What do you all think?

    Fate of the universe?

I like the theories involving dark energy; but just thinking about these things makes my head hurt

    Fate of the universe?

Well, this dark energy is indeed causing our universe to expand at an accelerating rate.

No one ever come close to identifying what is this though... The fate of this universe would be perhaps a very dark and cold ending with stars very far apart from one another.

    Fate of the universe?

and then the stars die =.= after that the atoms become subatomic particles again, then the big bang happens again, one dark cycle :(

    Fate of the universe?

Cyclic Model doesn't work. It's inconsistent with the 2nd law of thermodynamics. It would imply that once the universe begins to fall together under its own gravitational field, entropy would decrease. Something that can never happen.. Thus the cyclic model can be disregarded.

    Fate of the universe?

Entropy has increased since the Big Bang, because when the Big Bang happened entropy was nearly zero. If entropy continues to increase it will just eventually tear the universe apart atom by atom.
