    Normally I'm pretty good at these but this one confuses me because of the () any help would be appreciated:
    Redox Mg(NO3)2+2NaOH-->Mh(OH)2+NaNO3

    Mh? I'm assuming you meant Mg. If so..

    Mg(NO3)2 + 2 NaOH = Mg(OH)2 + 2 NaNO3

    I'm assuming to balance the equation judging by the fact that what he provided doesn't conserve mass.

    Thanks sypherz! I actually forgot about this thread because I eventually figured out the answer but I'm taking college chemistry this fall semester so we'll see how that goes!
