What use does nex/spirit shields have?

I just got a main, and I have always wanted divine and torva etc so I bought it. What things can you do where torva/divine is the best gear. All I can think of at the moment is Bandos.

Any help would be appreciated, i'm new to mains

Not really, I have the gear but what can I actually do with it? Most things seem to be gano nowdays.

 

Bossing, pking, etc

There are multitudes of things you can do with gear like that.

 

Oh... most people just wear it for the looks. It depends what your doing; if your doing some ranged PvMing, you wear full pernix. If you're maging, you use full ganodermic armour

 

Bossing, like godwars yes.
Not sure if it would be good to slay in as it degrades but you might correct me on this one lol

 

Tbh i think all nex armours and ss's (after owning all of them at one point or another during the game) RUIN the gameplay.
The only actually use for nex sets; especially pernix is actually nexing.
Using pernix for arma is far far to easy and arma becomes a drag and afk. Torva makes bandos afk and well virtus is more for training/waring
Divine is a great item, probably my favourite over nex sets although this too makes many bosses other than nex still incredibly easier.
If your looking to get any definitely go for divine first, does so much for it's price
