"safing" eating while pking

well im often called a "safer" even though i am NOT a pker and mostly get jumped on when im trying to do something in wildy, people talk shit about so called "safers" (people who eat while still at a reasonably not 1-2 hittable hp) i think this is fucking ridiculous even for the people who go out for sole purpose of pking. If you are the better fighter your food will last longer and you will come out on top, if your a fucking fail you will lose to a so called "safer". Granted im not a pker in general but im always bombarded anytime i gotta do anything in wildy, it simply seems stupid to not eat when needed . Im basically asking why the fuck so many people think so called "safing"/eating food is considered cheap ?! If your better than someone your food will last longer, the end . Thats my opinion, id like to hear other peoples opinions on the matter so please chime in. Like i said im not a pker or anything and im just defending myself and im not trying to start an argument or anything either so trolls go elsewhere .

 

Safing takes the fun out of pking.
The only chance for you to kill a safer is a sick combo, massive hits, etc.

Once safers run out of food, they usually run.

 

Safers are usually shocking pkers/have no idea what they're doing, so if you can convince them to take more risks by paying them out about it, it's easier for you to get the kill.

 

"Safing" use to have meaning prior to 2005, when DM's actually were DM's. Now sadly most homo's run coz they're scared to lose their 300k whip.

 

It's mostly an edgeville term. Edgeville pking is for koing. If both parties eat to full then no one dies and it's just a waste.
Why would anyone call you a safer if you are in the wildy and aren't in fight gear or fighting?

 

This really depends on how much the player is 'safing'.

If I know the player I am fighting has Dragon claws for example, of course I'm going to eat when I'm at 40-50 HP.

However most people 'bag out' players who safe simply to 'psyche' them from eating, giving themselves a large opportunity to use a spec weapon, etc.

Also, people tend to accuse others of safing when they themselves are doing it.

 

well this is all great input, but like i said im never out there for pk and i usually get pjed or something (as everyone does nowadays) an get called a "safer" im usually wearing black dhide and am NEVER skulled so theres never been loot in question yet i STILL get atked AND called a "safer". And tbh i dont see how it "takes the fun out of pking" if you have the same option to so called "safe" eat and test it out as an endurance thing, i could see it as an issue when people call you out on a risk fight "safe" then tele but thats simply not the case when i get called one .. its not like im on high risk or anything XD. I have to agree completely with jeff who says most people who accuse people of safing are usually themselves doing it, the account i usually get accuse of safing on it has 1 summoning so my cbt stats are higher than most people of my same lvl, people tend to get pissy the second shit doesnt work out and they ALWAYS blame something or someone else for their loss, if and WHEN i win a fight 99% of the time im accused of safing of ddosing someone . I could understand so called safing being an issue dming.. but ill be damned if i dont eat when you randomly atk me ..

It's just what people say. If you eat so they don't win (which is the point in food), they say that you aren't playing properly. But if you put them on low constitution, they are very likely to eat (unless they're using dharoks).

 

Most people that complain about "safing" are just mad that you didn't let them kill you easily. Real safing is when you never risk your hp/always eat at high hp

At the end of the day, the way I see it is pkers Tele or run anyway so why can't people safe? I don't see any rules implemented by Jagex saying its against the rules so why not so it? Everyone runs and teleports so to hell with them and safe if you want.

Safers run out of food faster most of the time, you'll need to combo them or do some huge hits to kill 'em. else just don't bother fighting them at all.

 

Yeah combo them or it won't even be worth fighting them.. not to mention they will barely ever hit you since they are constantly eating.

 

Safing doesn't really matters now.

Many combos can easily K0 any safer.

I remember the time when I used to PK in like 2005-2006 and that word did not even excist and suddently it did.. Mis those days.

 

if people safe you have no chance killing them then when they are out of food they tele or run, that is why i call safers safers, its just as annoying as getting claw rushed by 1 itemers.

 

If you're 120+ and DH fighting someone there is no safing. Half hp they can hit 650s and on top of that a veng. It's ridiculous, there is no safing at 120+ period.

 

Also if you are so against pking why the hell do you even play RS?
