Experiences With Amazon

Hey everyone,

Till now I have used eBay for the majority of my online shopping but I am really fed up with people not delivering/me having to chargeback or items being not as described and all that junk.

I was looking into starting to use Amazon and was wondering if some people could let me know how their experiences on Amazon have been till now?

Good OR Bad - I want to here it all

 

Amazon is amazing. I buy everything from there. I've always found buying stuff off ebay to be a waste of time for the most part since bidding is a pain in the ass and you can get a lot of things just as cheap used off of Amazon anyways. They ship fast too and I've never had any problems with them at all.

 

Amazon has been great for me. I use it quite a bit for textbooks and other things. I'd recommend giving it a shot.

Bought a few text books from Amazon went very quick and smooth.

 

They are amazing, have bought various Xbox 360 games when I used to play, Xbox 360 remote controllers/chargers and more.

 

Hmm looks like everything is good news regarding them, I will definitely give it a go.

Would love to hear from more ppl, thanks to those who replied!

 

If you mean in general:

• They are alot cheaper than any other website
• Their products always get delivered
• Their standard "FREE Super Saver Deliver" is very quick (delivered in around 3 working days, despite saying it could be later)

 

Amazon is fantastic, I have orderer loads of stuff and never had even the slightest problem. I'd highly recommend it. As with everything though, be careful.

 

Amazon is great, bought loads of books an lollies from the site.

Although I didn't receive one book i bought once, complained, it was reviewed and i was refunded in full not long after.

 

I buy all my electronics from amazon for the most part and I've had nothing but good experiences. Their customer services is the best out there, but if your going to buy things from sellers and not directly from amazon make sure they are established.

 

Yeah, I think I'm actually going to start ordering bulk food from there too.

Yeh, Amazon really is good. My brother sells wholesale stuff on Amazon, finds it easy to use. I buy a lot of stuff, most is cheaper than eBay.

You made a good decision!
My family and I have bought several items from Amazon. No complaints here. Products always arrive extremely quick, and as someone else said, it's easy to get free shipping on your first few orders. If you can't get free shipping, it's usually cheap anyway. Plus everything in general has an amazing price.

 

Yup I was really surprised by the prices of items + shipping compared to eBay.

 

I've bought like 30+ items with no trouble.But then again 80% of those where from amazon themselves.I don't really buy to many things from the people who sell on there.I guess I just haven't gotten burned yet.But if you stick to just buying from amazon you'll run into less trouble.And if you do it should be easily resolved.

 

Bought 3 used phones from amazon, two came within 3 days and the other took almost a month. I do s'pose it was just that it was coming through a third party and not directly from Amazon. Something to note is that if you are in the states then a lot of states have started charging taxes on online shopping so Amazon could come after you for taxes.

 

Yeah, I agree with the rest, Amazon is amazing. I have prime, so I get free shipping on most things and it takes about 2 days for stuff to get here
