Beer?!?

Haven't seen anyone discuss this at any length here I'm hoping people who are of age can chime in on this given that most underage don't have much of a appreciation for beer. I live in Texas so american "domestics" are most common and out of all of them i tend to steer torwards the slummier lawnmower type beers like Miller High Life and Pabst Blue Ribbon. They are really good lighter type beers that still have some flavor and are refreshing. The beer i drink most commonly is a mexican import called Modelo Especial its affordable here and far better than say the skunky corona or slightly metallic tecate. On the higher/classier end of domestics and imports i really like Shiner Bock (another texas classic) and its many variants , Ziegenbock (yet ANOTHER tx classic), Various Hefeweizens and Bachs as well as some canadian imports. If i am stone cold broke and have to shop for tall boys or 40s or various other malt liquors i usually stick with king cobra or Mickeys. Im basically looking to drum up a conversation about your feelings on various beers and your personal tastes and why.

 

I don't always drink beer but when I do I drin... wait bullshit lol anyways I hardly ever drink beer [ liquor man personally] but I like budweiser and michelob amber bock I also tolerate king cobra when I'm real low on cash but it's the only drink that has ever given me a hang over so I try to stay away from it when I can.

 

Dos equis Is all there is at my house, occasional TECATE.

 

I can't stand High Life. It's the only beer I'll turn down, unless I'm just really wanting to get drunk or I already am. My favorite beers are Newcastle, Red Stripe, Blue Moon, Dos Equis, Sapporo and Guinness. I'm pretty much broke at the moment though, so I usually just get a six pack of PBR or a 40oz Icehouse.

 

Guinness is my favourite, followed by Tribute, Hobgoblin and Doom Bar.

For a cheap drink I normally buy Carlsberg.

I do like Guiness and Jack Daniels (I know that's not a beer), although they're expensive in clubs, so I tend to drink what ever is cheap and will get me drunk. So I go for: Carling, Carlsberg, San Miguel and Budweiser. I used to like Fosters but that magically turned disgusting for me one day..

It might just be my opinion or the beer specifically brewed in my country, but American beers just taste like beer tasting water :/
It's as if they took a beer and added twice the amount of water into it.

I enjoy German beers like Hoegaarden or Heineken...
It's probably just my personal preference, but I'm sure that some people agree?

 

Samuel Adams is a good beer, but there are still tons of better ones out there.

You're right for the most part. A lot of American beers aren't very good like Budweiser, Busch, Miller, Coors, etc. There are some good ones out there though, like Yuengling, Samuel Adams, Landshark, Amber Bock. Heineken used to be my favorite beer, but I really don't like it anymore. I just lost my taste for it one day. Hoegaarden is amazing.

 

Sure wish that we had those beers in my country lol
