The only hard evidence that I can provide immediately is us.

Why would you believe you are the only sentient species in the whole Universe?

Why would you think if the Universe is an estimated 14 billion years old, and the human race only a few million.
Why would there be no statistical probability that in the span of the life of the Universe, there would have not been another occurrence in which a life form of any kind was "born"? Perhaps even with unimaginable intelligence, such that humans could not even dream of grasping eventually.

In "Occam's razor math" or just "simple" math; See, the oldest evidence of homo sapiens is 150,000 years. What this means is human life (theoretically if the universe is 14 billion years old) could have been created 190 times throughout the life span the Universe.

Hopefully I carried out my idea successfully, simply hope you understand what I mean.

I honestly think this is not possible at all.
I'm young so I may not know what I'm talking about really but this is sorta my thought process.

So we all evolved or something into what we are now. We are the most superior, intellectual beings as it is. We will advance. - (Let's all take the Big Bang Theory for example. Stars clashed, and created the earth and such, created an atmosphere and started an evolution process, plant evolved into other plants which grew and such. Too lazy to add all my thoughts).
Nothing else could be out there, if there was, they would have reached out by now most likely.
    Anyways, just my opinion.

Just to say that the time-span isn't as relevant as the quantity. Moreover, during the first few billion years of the Universe's existence, it would be impossible for any lifeform to exist.

I'll quote myself, and apologise for the non-relevant parts:

I do like this theory, but I must object with this part as I believe it is not possible to go faster than the speed of light and no matter how advanced a civilization is, it is not possible. Though, I do believe it is possible for such an advanced civilization to have the capability to bend space and perhaps, even create a wormhole.

What this would allow them to do is literary, shorten the distance to travel. For example, instead of forcibly having to journey 100k light years, they would probably shorten it to a few seconds!

... Just another theory you could add : whistle :

If it is possible, could you please tell us how, and also send a copy of your theory to NASA? Why do you think it's possible?

It's probably not impossible to travel faster than the speed of light. We had once said traveling faster than the speed of sound was impossible - looks like we did that

You're depressed because people can't do a human/ant mindset analogy?

I'm depressed because people like you are so easily depressed.

I think you're misunderstanding evolution. The Homo Sapien came into being around 150,000 years ago. It had to evolve from a different species, and that species from another, and so on and so forth. We didn't just originate from nothing. Homo sapien is the culmination of millions of years of evolution. It isn't simple for a whole new species to form, especially a sentient life form.

I think you make some legitimate points. The Drake Equation is by no means a legitimate estimate of sentient alien life, it is merely a teaching aid/hypothetical question, designed to stimulate conversation (as it is such doing now)

That is a very interesting thought, I was contemplating it as well as building my own ideas inside my head for a few minutes :p

This is true, but only because the numbers we plug into the equation are based on conjecture.

That said, when we take into consideration the sheer size of the cosmos:

Earth is contained within our solar system. Our solar system is contained the solar interstellar neighborhood. Our Solar Interstellar Neighborhood is contained within our galaxy. Our galaxy is contained within the Local Galactic Group. Our Local Galactic Group is contained within the Virgo Supercluster. Our Virgo Supercluster is a speck in the whole Universe.

The statement that sentient lifeforms only exists on Earth is akin to saying that 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the universe does not contain sentient lifeforms. That is an audacious claim.

School promotes critical thinking and rational thinking/problem solving techniques just for religion to rub it out with irrational shenanigans.

Yeah, thats one thing that we would have to consider.

By reaching out we are running the risk of exposing ourselves. They could be friendly or have ill-intentions. Its a huge gamble, personally I am content with what we know currently.

I suppose this view could be either be considered logical or dismissed as entirely ridiculous depending on one's religious views. I, however, completely agree. The idea of imagining something that literally exceeds human knowledge is an interesting concept to wrap your mind around; rather difficult to grasp. By our standards we see something as "impossible", but we define "impossible" through our own man-made laws and properties (physics, etc). So just because we can't understand something, or it doesn't appeal to our current laws of nature/space/whatever, doesn't mean it can't or doesn't exist.

I like how a 20 year old can hold more wisdom than a 100 year old. It depresses me that I'm surrounded by zombies things outside themselves to think for them. It's as if I'm a 100 years old in a 20 year old body. I've heard people go all their life without perceiving the world as I do. And I would not doubt it.
