    That's a pretty old definition :p US rap is mostly lame nowadays. I dig Immortal Technique. Should check out Lowkey or Akala from the UK, that's where its at right now for me.

    IMO good rap is deep and/or lyrical and still sounds pretty good...That is why I like copywrite so much and "promote" him when ever I can.

    The song could be about fucking pidgeons for all I care, if it has crazy lyricals and sounds good, it's good rap IMO...(not literally stupid things like birds though =P )






    I also LOVE old eminem... infinite album is probably one of the best albums ever released...

    that ice cube song is from like 2006 or something. it's pretty new cube.
    one of the best debut albums. Up there with illmatic/liquid swords
    Meeeh honestly illmatic > anything else by nas. Its kinda sad how his talent has kinda atrophied. I mean he's still good, just not amazing.
