    Car Recommendations?

Hey, I am soon going to be getting a car. I have a top budget of 6000 dollars, but looking more to 3000-4000 dollars. Looking for something with fairly good mileage, sedan, perferably 4 door.
    Thinking about:
    Honda Civic
    Corolla
    Mistubishi Lancer
    Scion tc
    Mazda 3

If anyone has some recommendations besides those cars, I'm all ears.
    Thanks!

definitely Honda civic or accord. Make sure you get the 2000 models or newer. :D I have an 97' accord and it works well besides the tranny shifts hard.

    Corollas are very good.

They don't really look overly appealing, but they are proven to be one of the hardest cars to break. They don't abuse gas either and have several 4 door models.

I would personally get the mazda 3, but it's not the smart choice. I just like mazdas a lot.

Honda is the best choice; it has the best fuel economy, cheapest repair and labor, and lasts the longest. They're also highly customizable, but be careful of adding tacky stuff. Nothing is worse than a tacky "tricked out" honda

Steer clear of the scion line of vehicles. They're all trash. Empty, useless little hotrods without the excuse of looking cool. My mother has a 2010 scion, and it's terrible. The upholstery is shit and falling apart, the 12 volt outlet broke within the first week, paint is chipping in the door jams, terrible suspension, "fully loaded" basically meant power windows, locks and a iPod stereo with steering wheel controls. Above all, they're overpriced.

Oh and it gets like 20 MPG HWY.

My 3000 dollar 1999 jetta has sturdier upholstery, better gas mileage by far (and it's not even diesel), and is just a step up from base model and it has iPod CD player, steeringwheel controls, and power locks. Only thing it doesn't have that the Scion does is power windows c.c

Toyota Yaris Sedan's are starting to come down in price. If you look hard you may find a good one at a lower price. Besides that a well maintained civic is my favorite option.

Sounds like this is going to be your first car. If that is the case then you should 100% go with the civic. Civics are overall reliable and efficient cars. You don't need to start off with a gas guzzler or anything just because it looks cool, because once you're paying for gas its not going to look as great. The civic is fuel efficient, safe, and reliable, and they don't look bad either.
