Should I focus on getting my herb or prayer up first?

Hey everyone,

I just came back from an overly-long break from Runescape and my character is rather weak thanks to having low herb and prayer. I have the money to do both however I think for now I'm going to just focus on getting one up. What I like to do the most is PvM, so with that being said do you think I should level my herb or prayer up first? One of my friends said overloads are more important, however leveling prayer will give me my last few levels so I'm not sure what to do! >,<

 

Well, look up the curse prayers and you'll have your answer. I think the most important thing for you would be levelling the prayer and perhaps getting turmoil.

 

definitely pray. turmoil and soul split helps a lot when pvm'ing

 

Yeah, that sounds good to me. I guess it just determines how you play on which one you should level first. And plus with prayer once you get it, you don't have to pay to use it. /thumbsup

You get SS and Turm.

 

Prayer is more helpful. Herblore is just an option.

 

You can do herblore in the long run just do farming runs every day and things like that and get it up and make a profit from herblore?
Turmoil sadly there is nothing cheap about it. It is needed though and helps greatly whilst boss hunting.

 

The amount I hear about SS and turmoil it seems there's only one viable option, go for herby if you really don't fancy it though

 

prayer definately, i have both on my main but prayers never ending. you can always use it without having to pay for more supplies

 

I'd go with prayer, it helps in all combat situations where as extremes and overloads are just used for speeding up certain tasks and bossing.

I'm going to be doing prayer, then herblore. So it's ironic I found this post.

 

Depends what you are doing.

Prayer is better for things like slayer, etc.

Herb is better for bossing.

I say Herblore, only cause you want to do PvM.

 

Surprised no one has asked yet, but what are their current levels?

Otherwise without knowing, I'd say get Prayer (although both skills are quick to level).

 

Prayer - you can use it in PvP and PvM situations = more of a chance to make enough for herb.

 

I got herb first to 96 and IMO it's good but Turm is so much better get turm it's worth the extra 60m to get

 

If your going to be getting both, I'd say herb first and take breaks every so often to get the quest for turm done first if you havent...

 

SS and turm are awesome for PvM I cant believe how I played without it lol
