What Do You Think Heaven Is Like?

Edit: can a staff member close th thread? It's turnng out the exact opposite of what I wanted it to be.

 

I think its going to be customed to out personal preference. but I think we will forget all the sins we've learned about on earth

 

I actually think there's no heaven, i believe in recarnation (i don't know if that's the good word in english?)

 

I am no religious person really, but I guess I've always believed that there is some sort of "afterlife" or existence after death.

I like to picture heaven as just a place of consciousness where you are completely content and at peace. Maybe were we get some answers about the lives we lived, and hopefully where we are reunited with the souls of people we bonded with and lost throughout our lives.

I honestly don't know though. I would be equally happy if heaven were the way it is portrayed in Family Guy - sitting around at a bar booth drinking with famous celebrities, and playing golf with God in the clouds

 

I think we'll control other human's life from heaven xD

 

Don't belive theirs a heaven i think when you die you are reborn again as anything (human,dog,fly,tree ext.)

 

I hated the idea of reborn because it seems like to make life seems pointless because you lose your soul after you die. I like to think heaven as a place where you get anything you wants.

 

I am just curious about people who think they're going to be reborn as something without consciousness. What is the point? If you are reincarnated as a tree there is no point, because trees are not conscious and are just there.


I agree with Zerker though. If there is an afterlife it will be just be peace with everything and ultimate knowledge.

there is no such thing as "Heaven" or "Hell" I believe in an afterlife, but religion has mis-construed the actuality. There's not going to be some "God" hugging us calling him his children(pedo).

The question you should ask is, if you're even going to get there to begin with. I don't think people with corrupt minds and bodies would be able to leave.. I think there's a way to straight up leave before you die anyway.

I'm atheist so to me the existence of heaven is just in a book. I don't need a crutch nor am I greedy what you see is what you get after that you're gone. All animals and plants die and add nutrients in the earth, why would we be any different. Also remember energy is not lost, it just changes form.

 

That has nothing to do with anything. We're not talking about physical "Matter".

I want to believe that there is an afterlife, but there is still no possible way of knowing whether or not there really is one. I'm a strong believer in facts and religion is based too much on faith. Everyone is entitled to think what they want if it makes them feel better, so I'm not against religion for the most part. Though I don't see the point of living your whole life based on something you don't know for sure is true. I especially can't stand it when people think they are 100% right and always say that everyone else is wrong. Some atheists are especially guilty of doing this. It's wrong to push your beliefs on others, considering they're only opinions. Everyone is equally wrong until proven right, and you aren't going to know for sure until you die.

And to those who think that people who die and claim to see heaven, then come back to life is proof, it's not. The first few minutes you experience after death is nothing but DMT being released, not a glimpse of heaven.

 

what makes you so sure that there isnt a heaven?? how do you know for a fact that heaven and God doesn't exist.

most people believe in outer space though they have never seen it, only heard of it or heard of facts that other people make about it. but you have never been to space yourself so why believe in it?? the same principle is to heaven IMO. you haven't experienced it or seen it so why doubt it? for all you know we could be looking into an asshole instead of what we believe is outer space.

Heaven.. Such a beautiful word isnt it? Jeez imagin what it would look like.. I bet its all real. This world we live in is probably going to look fake compared to heaven. I cant wait to see my friend, my father, my light in Heaven one day.

Idk what I believe tbh, all I know is that ether way I want to put it, it doesn't effect my life, nor is it going to. All I know is It's better off to make the best of everything, and to be at peace, instead of whining about religious views. Fuck that.

I believe that if there is a Heaven, it wouldn't be one set thing. It would be one heaven per person that would be individually tailored to their likes/dislikes. Others would also be able to visit other peoples heavens, etc.
