How does Jagex ban?

I have a main that I don't want to get banned, but I want to start a bot army (10+ bots). If I don't bot on my main and do not trade gold to it (the bots would have no contact with my main) would it have any chance of getting banned? In other words, do they only ban botting accounts and not accounts on the same IP?

 

you main is unlikely to get banned if nothing interact with it. The only time that happens if you do massive gold sale, where some times jagex just bans every one on the ip.

 

If you don't do anything bannable on your main account, then I doubt it would get banned. They will probably watch it though if it's on the same IP as accounts you bot on and such.

 

If you don't bot on your main, you are safe. And even if you bot, nowdays they don't even ban you for that. Only thing to worry about is rwt and trading alot of gp.x

 

Yeah, if I were to RWT on my botted accounts, my main would still be in the clear?

 

Provided you didn't RWT on your main, then Jagex have no reason to touch it.

 

I'm not sure that does jagex ban anymore, but only for 11 days if does, and they might reset your cashpile to 0 for botting, happen to me..

 

Okay, thanks for all of the replies, but last thing. Is there a limit on to how many accounts you can make on one IP address? Because if I were to make a questing bot that requires tens if not hundreds of accounts, how badly would this raise flags on behalf of JaGeX?

 

they do limit amount of account per ip. So you need vpn when your creating account.

it's 99,9% sure that you're main won't get banned, they only ban botted/infracted/any illegal accounts.
