Dragon Kiteshield - Coming This Month!

Looks like the dragon kiteshield is all set for a release this month, a reward/drop from the queen black dragon.

It was only a matter of time before they released one. I wonder what it's price will be when it comes out and everyone farms them in.

 

Better get them fast before the price drops to like 1m lol.

 

Personally I hope they release a dragon cross bow as its a much needed weapon for those who can't be fucked or don't have the money to dung.
Is there any teaser images of the kite yet?

 

I've been waiting for this for a year. Will be very interesting to see how good the shield is.

I'm pretty sure Jagex said that they will not be releasing a dragon crossbow, they said the choatic crossbow ís the dragon crossbow. I'll try and find a link and edit it in if I can. But who knows they might release dragon long/shortbows? Doubtfull, but possible. As for the dragon kiteshield, I really hope they actually make it special, releasing it as dead content would be a shame.

I personally Jagex should just release the Dragon Kite shield and Dragon Cross Bow then make no more bosses. Runescape will be so gay if everything's so overpowered and so easy to get money basically ruins the game

 

No more bosses? The entire community they rely on is only there because they have been updating the game.. The moment they say ''We will stop updating the game'', Runescape is doomed to die within a short time range.

 

Bosses are one of the main highlights of Runescape.

The thought of getting a rare item from the loot is just amazing, doubt they will stop making bosses.

They're most likely not going to make it anything 'special' special, aside from the fact that it'll be a decently rare drop and possibly in pieces...thus making it really pricey for a while. That's probably the only thing that's going to hold it up for some time.

Think about it...it's 60 def, they can only do so much. Adding in a bunch of crazy effects might make it a bit overpowered.

Although, now don't quote me on this but...didn't someone say something a while back about the full dragon possibly having a 'set effect'? The average set is the helm, platebody, platelegs/skirt, and a kite, so this would complete the 'intermediate' set.

Agreed, DFS requires 75 defense but dragon kite would only require 60.

Doing a little extrapolation, I'm gonna go ahead and call the dragon kiteshield stats right now:

stab/slash/crush/mage/range/summon

57/59/55/-1/55/55
(very unsure on the range/summon, the stab/slash/crush/mage is all very accurate)

5% melee and 11% range damage absorption

 

will be used more for show then use. Will look real pretty ^.^

 

I hope they don't put the dragon kiteshield on the squeal of fail.

 

Hate to say but you are probably right. It will probably be dead content, just really crossing my fingers it won't be. Jagex is just a couple years too late releasing this kiteshield. At least we can hope for some overpowered specials coming with other dragon equipment ( Warhammer? )
