Doing clue scrolls and dragons to get them, worth it?

I've been doing bronze dragons and recently got a hard clue scroll drop and am doing it now, I want to keep doing these with hard and elite clue scrolls for a while till I get a few Third age drops and give up.
Not sure if it's worth it as the drops are exceedingly RARE, and hard to get however It should be worth it even with some of the smaller drops that's a few mill up.

I wanted to do the skeletal horror but I finished everything for it up-to where I need 73 slayer so I gave up.
Otherwise it would be 1 elite a week.
don't know how long or how much 73 slayer will cost to train or buy to train.

 

I wouldnt get your hopes up on 3rd age as i've done 20+ hards and didnt get much lol. I've done probably 100+ mediums and never got anything better then a few mills from 1 scroll.

 

you're actually more likely to win the lottery then get a single 3rd age item let alone a few. I've done well over 2,000 hard clues and 100+ elite ones without a single 3rd age item.

but hellhounds would be much easier to get hard clue scrolls btw.

In my opinion, clue scrolls are rarely worth doing. I've done hundreds of them and rarely ever received any items worth more than a few hundred thousand GP.

It's gotten to the point that I don't even pick up clue scrolls anymore unless they are elite clues. Doing Slayer I get hard clues constantly, almost every task, and they end up just being such a waste of time.

 

You should really only do clue scrolls if you enjoy doing them, or need a break. They rarely contribute anything of worth to your bank balance.

 

Yeah, don't know what to do for cash, man I'm so confused :S just thought one third age on the off chance would make bank.

I always do them. The best item I've gotten from a hard clue scroll was a robin hood hat back when they were around 10m or something. My friend has gotten 3rd age platelegs. I think they're really easy to complete. Plus they give me a much needed break from tasks.

 

chance for 3rd age druidic is like 1/100,000 according to rune wiki i believe

 

Yeah it Is but you never know, you could be the 1 in a 100k

 

I was the 1:50,000 for 3a Mage hat and 1:100,000 for ranger boots from lvl 2.. Gotten em 3 times and have screenies . Anyways, I recommend doing em. What have you got to lose? You're looking for profit anyways so why not

 

If you want hard clues quickly then hellhounds are great. I spend 15-30 minutes afk killing them to get one every now and then. The only things I've gotten of any real value would be prayer book pages :/.

3rd age rewards from clue scrolls are VERY rare. Im still waiting for that fine day to come...

 

Clue scrolls are one of my favourite past times in rs. Great to break from slayer/skilling and just fuck around and do one, even though the rewards are almost always rage worthy lol. The lvl 1 clue scrolls give better profit then hard ones these days :s

 

Statistically speaking the chances of getting them suck, but if you're lucky then hey go for it.
Clues can be hard, boring, tedious, etc.
But if you like it because of that rush when you see the chest from that last clue; Then do it.

 

Yeah, I do like to see the chest on the last clue and open it, I also like doing it because some clues require certain skill reqs and quest reqs so I do them to get my skills higher too and some quests done.

 

Clue-scrolls are a waste of time if you ask me mate, I have done quite a lot and maybe some platelegs, nothing worth bragging about though. Goodluck.

 

Yeah chances of getting anything good are low but you could be the one who gets that lower chance, that's what drives me on thinking that I'll be the 1 in a 100k to get the third age.
