Are partyhats crashing completely?

I've had a Red phat for a long time now, bought it at like 1.4b a while back I think.

Now the g.e price is 1.26b and idk why this is, is this gonna be permanently crashing and should I sell it off or keep it? I've always thought partyhats would continue rising.

 

If you don't need the cash, keep it. It will always go back up.

 

With all of the bots around, prices are changing a bit. What you could do is wait for the Optimus bot nuke to take out some of the bots (except Simba) then that should make things better

 

So you're saying in time the prices will start to get higher? I remember partyhats being 100m each like a year ago lol.

 

Yes. With some of the bots going, there is going to be less gold going into the game.

It hasn't been 100M for several years.

You mean less supplies going into the game. Less Dragon Bones, less herbs, less ore, less planks etc. Which means people dumps their rare and invest in said items. The main reason Phats first crashed was because of the first bot nuke. The reason it's been volatile atm is the plan of the next bot nuke. It would take out quite a few bots, which means a lot less supply in game. Where people with rares dumps their rares and takes the opportunity.

It only seems logical if less gold is going into the game, people would have less gold to spend on rares.

I don't know. If I did, I either wouldn't tell you or I'd give you a false answer. So don't take anyone's word for it. I am however short term flipping them. They will go up, back down, up etc. until bot nuke is released. Red won't hit 1.4B anytime soon. About it going up and down, I am not completely sure about it and there's always a risk. Not to mention bot nuke can happen anytime.

 

Phats will always go back up because no more will come into the game

 

well phats il fall this happens every 6 months so funny they rise again back to full strength.

Do not panic sell ur phat just because it dipped due to botting. It will be wiser to keep it in the long run.

However you do have to keep in mind that there are other methods of making more money with what you have than investing in a partyhat. A partyhat's value won't ever reach, say, $1,000 for a Purple. At least not for a really long time. However if you manage your money properly, you can turn your purple, let's say its 900M, into 1.5B in a matter of 3 months. Gaining an average of less than 1% daily which isn't hard, considering people's profits margin is higher than 1% daily. Purple has hit close to $1,000 when FT was released, but that was because of what no one saw what was coming. A massive stock of RSGP was in game, and people were overpaying per M ($1), and people with botted accounts used their GP to buy phats. Soon it settled down to where it should be, around $600 (Less right now).

But your Purple partyhat won't rise to 1.5B in 3 months.

Don't forget to take in account how much a partyhat's value was before Free Trade. All in all partyhats are pretty much the same value when RSGP was valued at $1/M before FT. A purple right now is around $450-500. It was about that much, I think it even was more, before FT. If you knew a method to transfer GP anyway.

The thing is Phats may rise in GP, but it would only keep up with either inflation or deflation. Deflation is happening because of the previous, and soon-to-come bot nuke. If you were to invest it elsewhere, the value of your GP would actually go up than stay at the same amount.

Though, one more question I ask is will the hat rise in value over lets say by July or August? I know gp prices probs will.

I know that the hat over a course of a year or 2, will rise a substantual amount but Im in no rush.

 

Once again, no one knows. Bot nuke will probably come before then, if it does, it probably won't. Right now Red is sitting around the 1150M mark. Phats took a big hit.

You're basically asking what would rise in the stock market. There is no guarantee anything will rise by said period as anything could happen.

 

I can turn 800mil into 1.8bil - 2.3bil profit by merching in a month . Thats why i dont do phat holding cos its a waste of potential profits .

There was a slight dip, and this caused everyone to panic and they wanted to sell there rares to make sure they didn't lose any cash. This just caused an even bigger dip. Rares can only ever be removed from the game, either through bans or mistakes, but they can never be taken back in. Don't stress, it may take time, but they'll rise again.

 

It was a big crash actually. Partyhats dropped 10% in price, cannot call that a slight dip. And it was caused by the announcement of Jagex's next bot nuke. There was a timer, and people thought that when it hits 0 Jagex would get rid of a lot of non color bots. It turned out to be RuneSpan, where Partyhats rose a bit but no where close to their original value before the countdown.

Wrong about how it caused everyone to panic and sold their rares so they don't lose any cash. It in fact dropped a further, around, 5% when it was already at an all time low. Purple was already 20M lower than when it hit its lowest point after the first big crash, and people started buying when it hit its lowest point. After it was 20M lower than the lowest point, it dropped a further 40M. If anything, people lost a ton of cash. So it was not due to panic. People doesn't panic sell if, an example, purple's street was 870M when it hit rock-bottom before it rose. No one really would panic sell and sell it for 30-40M less than that.

I know a few reasons on what played a role on the crash. But as I said earlier "Even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you".
