How To Sell Items

When I was young I played a lot of virtual games so now that I'm older and I no longer want to play them, I want to sell some virtual items/currency.

In other words, I am new to the process of selling virtual goods for real money and would like some advice/step by step process on how to sell items and to ensure that I won't get scammed (or make people think I'm scamming them since I'm clumsy and slow at the process).

Also, I created a PayPal account to receive money, is this advisable?

Don't use Paypal for receiving money.
Paypal is easy for scammers as they can charge back and win 100% of the time if it's virtual goods.

Try using something similar like Moneypak or Moneybookers. There are no disputes or refunds in these two. Trading through Playerauctions or RSGP are also safer methods.

Although they have said not to bother with Paypal it is not so bad.

You can have them include in the note "thanks for the virtual good that i have received"

If they try to chargeback and there is a dispute simply call paypal and explain about it being the virtual good. Paypal doesn't like virtual good sales so you will always win.

Another good practice is to use a middleman if you are new and aren't trading with trusted members.
