Firecape on 1def pure

Hey guys, I just recently started a 1 defence pure. I worked it on a little bit while in f2p and got it like 50 dung. I got it members a couple weeks ago. The current stats are 50 attack, 53 strength, 1 defence, 73 hp, 84 range, 99 mage, and 45 prayer. I really want to get a firecape and was wondering if doing it with polypore was a good idea. I've never done fight caves on a pure but I've looked at guides and it seems everyone thinks range is best. I don't have DT done yet, but I might do it so that I can use Blood Barrage for healing. Would this be extremely hard to do, or is it possible?

 

It should be quite easy to get a cape on your pure, i've gotten one on mine many times. However, you might need to spend more money to get some sweets and regain braclet which will help you also if you do beat dt it would help you alot aswell.

 

It's usually accepted that having 70+ range makes getting a Firecape a lot easier, but having one defense, I dunno really, I've never tried it. All your other skills are pretty good, you can use Protect prayers and 84 range is handy. Definitely give it a go, and if you have troubles, you can always get King Tijn to do it for you. He charges $25 for 1 def.

I've gotten a firecape on my pure when it had 73 range. I would suggest not using mage.. just buy a lot of purple sweets instead.

 

I just thought it might do a lot better because I hit like constant 300+ with Polypore and it has it's own charges.

 

I stopped playing Runescape.. well i still pk/stake once in a while. But, I don't know that much about Polypore.

P.s. some advice - Before Jad spawns run all the way into the corner near the entrance so Jad will either get stuck behind Italy (the boot shaped formation) or the other formation I don't remember what it looks like. The move just far enough to be past one of them so you can figure out which he is behind. If he spawns in the middle it is much harder >.>

 

Yeah ik I've done it on my maxed barrows pure, just never tried with 1def

 

1 defence shouldnt be too hard as long as u have 43 pray

 

Just bring Polypore and blood barrages.

 

Do DT, get a polypore staff and god vestment gear and bring some blood barrages.

 

It will be possible; but don't under-estimate it, I lost around 9m trying it on my pure (around your stats), and still didn't get a cape. GL though

 

As for luring it, since the caves changed you can make it so jads lured in all but 1 spots... a runeshark vid shows where to stand and everything (; lol

 

You only need 70 range and 43 prayer, and about 2M for supplies. If you want to buy a fire cape link is in my signature.

 

It's works fine, I've done it. 43 Pray and high ranged is enough.

 

Polypore it. My pure is 99 range and under 90 Mage and I still choose to use a polypore as IMO it's faster. It slow on killing magers but doesn't really matter as your praying. It kills the ranger much faster as you can regularly 2 hit them, and that's helpful on a 1 defence pure as you need to kill them ASAP when your not praying range.

Use a polypore with blood barrages

 

jagex has made bosses too easy now with all of these new gear/items.. you shouldn't have a problem, but if you want a guarantee, then get a pro from here to do it for you It'd be <10m if not free

 

Polypore works fine.

 

Under 10m??? Really? Cas I'm down to pay that. King Tjin is 50m
