    hey guys well im 17 now im 6"5 175.5pounds and im just wondering what i should do to work out? i dont have a big belly but i do have (moobs) embarassing i know but meh i was wondering if anyone has advice on what i should do :)?

    In general, to get in shape. Start to run, and do crunches everyday. If you watch a lot of television, do crunches between each commercial. That's how I started to work-out my first time around. =] I've been running on a team since third grade (we had this running club).

    Ok, for one start eating more healthy. Next I would start a basic workout routine you can do every night for example,

    Day 1
    -10 Sit ups.
    -10 Push ups.
    -10 Crunches

    Then after each day you could add a extra one or two on to this and work your way up to doing more, also you could go for a jog every day or two just for a short while as jogging is a great way to loose weight. If you want anymore help feel free to PM me.

    Do you want to bulk up or lose weight (fat)? (bulking up will make you lose fat anyway)

    But for now, do what Fendle said.
    At your age and weight 10 sit up/press ups etc should be easy so do as many as you can and start off at that figure :)

    i want to bulk up :) thanks guys ! like i said my body fat is less then 13% i just wanna look sexy ;)

    Diet is HUGE. It is just as important, if not more important, than exercise. Make sure you are eating as healthy as possible, eat smaller portions & try to get lots of protein to combine with your workouts if you are looking to bulk up with a bit of muscle. There are lots of great exercise diets you can find online.

    Just remember that you want to take in less calories than you are burning if you want to shed some weight. It's also great to exercise when you get up in the morning & before you have had breakfast - the most important meal of the day. When you wake up, your body has basically been fasting all night and that is where the term "breakfast" comes from... because you are literally "breaking the fast" from overnight. So if you exercise rigorously in the morning, your body has no calories to burn off and so it starts burning fat immediately, whereas if you exercise heavily after a big meal, your body just ends up burning off alot of the calories you just digested. Whether you workout in the morning or not, always make sure you eat a good, healthy breakfast! This meal gives you your energy for the day, and it helps keep your metabolism sped up.

    I'm going to have to disagree with the first part of your post. I feel it is more important to work out. I've been lifting for about 6 years now and have came to the conclusion that working out is huge compared to eating right. I don't eat as well a I should, but still have muscle and decently cut. Now I will say if I ate properly I would most likely be much more cut, but it is easy to lose weight and gain muscle without following a diet and all that stuff. My advice would be to eat better than you do now. Eat more veggies and meat. And eat as little of sweets as possible. I really enjoy my sweets, but I only have them once or twice a week and it doesn't affect me. I find following diets no fun(but I do love to eat).

    I guess it ultimately depends on your end goal. If it is to get very cut and ripped, then following a strict diet and working out would be your best bet, but if it is to just lose weight and gain muscle than focus more on working out.

    the thing is i dont eat junk food :eek: my worse thing would have to be cheese bread :p or arizona's

    That's good. Then just start working out. Start with push ups and sit ups like people have suggested. When you feel up to it, get a gym membership. Just doing push ups and sit ups doesn't really build muscle, but is a good place to start.

    So, do you just want to get rid of your "moobs"? If so, running/job can help in that as well as weight lifting in order to gain muscle there.
