How Can I get back into Runescape?

Hey, for the past week or 2 I've just been afking Rocktails and playing Private servers. I'm getting a wee bit bored of the RSPS's and I wanna get back into Runescape. My bank after fishing 9k more rocktails will be 30m ish. I really want the max cape but Frost dragons bore me:> I'd play more if I have loads of money. Please don't suggest botting/Buying Gold. What should I do to get max cape fast and not be bored. Thanks.

Max cape is gonna req u to be bored at times. Heres a tip tho, when your training your def to 99 get it through slayer. Kill 2 birds w/ one stone.

 

try a mix of dungeneering and slayer and get dungeneering up, slayer and defence
slayer for charm collecting

 

trying mixing up the skills like, 1 week you train slayer then the next week dung and so on.

 

Mix with the skills, and for the gold try Pvm your stats is enough for it.

 

Dungeoneering can be fun, and at level 85+ the exp is very quick and easy (try and get a team of some sort). As for max cape, you might just have to do things as they come.

If you can, buy a little gp to start you off (say 50m [$30]).. then I suggest getting a chaotic weapon if you haven't already and then doing ROTM if you haven't already. Then I suggest doing glacors until you have enough charms for 96 summon which should take 1-2 weeks. Lastly, get 96 summon and learn to nex and you can join a cs group and potentially make a nice haul in a month's time

Sweet spam and a guy who clearly didnt read the WHOLE question above me ( he said he is NOT interested in buying gold ) . But i full agree with doing slayer to train up your defense and range make some pretty good cash and get a shitload of charms to get that summoning up. PvM is really fun if your into that, but tbh i personally am not sure about runescape anymore after being treated personally by jagex the way i have been, i have roughly spent between 2-300 dollars on membership and got treated as though i was just some dickweed on trial membership or something. Let alone the direction the games been heading in. I been getting down on rsps's zarpor for everything but pvp soulsplit for pk. Zarpors got a perfect xp rate imo not a dinky spawn server. All that aside it would probably be worth sticking around to max the account and sell!! Got to be worth a pretty nice chunk. GL

 

On my main i made the error of botting max combat without picking up any charms or doing slayer (seriously regret that)

If i were you, get 99 defence doing slay. Then maybe do some farming, and get 76 craft so you can do Ritual of the mahjarrat to get storm of arma? Glacors is also said to be really nice cash.

Good luck trying to get back into rs. I usually have fun doing quests on my tank when i'm trying to get back into the flow of the game.

 

This, see if you can max out all of your combat skills. While training defence, try and collect the charms you need for 99 Summoning.

 

Slayer will help you with your defence, ranged and summoning. So I would recommend doing that first.

After that mine some gold and smith them into gold bars for ur mining and smithing.

 

I try to train multiple skills at the same time, so I'd rather get say 3 99's over a 2-3 month period rather then grinding out 1 skill for a month non stop.

I still have doing slayer in the back of my mind, but the fact buying yews + papaya's for farming will drop my bank, also my rapier cost. I really don't feel spending that much then having none for slayer >.< Maybe soon I'll get into Frosts again or get 95 slayer and go Gano's

You dont need money for slayer... if anything these levels you should be raking come good cash in.. this is when the slayer drops get GOOD. Besides it would be a greattttt varied way for you to train up the rest of those combat skills. I dont see you needing to have any money at all for slayer cash in some points for slayer helm if you can and go go go!! Also yews are pretty much nerfed for money.. you could find PLENTY of pther ways for much better money (cough slayer) thru pvm

 

I'd say start out with some slayer, 30M will buy you some bandos armour wich should be good enough at your stats. You can do farm runs between tasks. Slowly work towards maxing your combats stats and you'll have some cash to finish your buyables.
