    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GemKqzILV4w

deep song; all the troubles, the stress, the anger, the worry, everything i carry on my shoulders
    it all simply fades away

and i can stop to think

and i've decided no more being on the run, i'll go work on a farm somewhere and just get my act together; perhaps in a foreign country like vietnam

    eh? i made a thread?
listened to that song i linked it reminds me of an ex; *sung it to her at karaoke*
if loving a song makes someone a fag - shit...
    that's just stupid

    a man who runs from his emotions drunk or sober; can't man up and be himself, that's a true fag;
full of insecurities - as a woman is

i see a bunch of fake conformist tools walking around me every single day - its depressing

you come to me with ideas
You say they're just pieces so I'm puzzled
'Cause the shit I hear is crazy
But you're either getting lazy or you don't believe in you no more
seems like your own opinion's not one you can form
Can't make a decision you keep questioning yourself
Second guessing and it's almost like you're begging for my help

(on a more serious note, ryan)
Ah, determinism. I do believe that, actually.
The universe is comprised of nothing more than energy and space. Energy follows strict set of laws and will react based on prior circumstances. Therefore, in conclusion, the single moment when the big bang occurred, a chain of events was set in motion that was completely unchangeable. I believe that free will is simply an illusion. You act based on biochemical signals in your brain. Whatever that biochemical state of your brain is at any given moment in time, is a result of events prior. Follow the links in the chain and you'll be right back to the moment of creation. That never changing flow of actions and reactions that brought me and you here today.
This theory also states that it MUST be possible to in turn predict the future, or rather, the state of the universe in a preceding moment in time. If we can predict the future then that means we have the power to change it, right? Wrong. Hypothetically if we discovered a state of the universe in a preceding moment in time and tried to alter it, we will have been determined from the origin to have gathered that information, and thus, will be following the "chain". I found it difficult to wrap my mind around this concept at first.

"The initial configuration of the universe may have been chosen by God, or it may itself have been determined by the laws of science. In either case, it would seem that everything in the universe would then be determined by evolution according to the laws of science, so it is difficult to see how we can be masters of our fate." -- Stephen Hawking

"Everything is determined, the beginning as well as the end, by forces over which we have no control. It is determined for the insect as well as the star. Human beings, vegetables, or cosmic dust, we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible piper." - Albert Einstein

    And my personal favorite:

"You will say that I feel free. This is an illusion, which may be compared to that of the fly in the fable, who, upon the pole of a heavy carriage, applauded himself for directing its course. Man, who thinks himself free, is a fly who imagines he has power to move the universe, while he is himself unknowingly carried along by it." -- Baron d'Hobach
