People who sell their mains to fund pures.

Id like your thoughts, what do you think of such people?

Imo, they are either

a) looking to make a quick buck off sythe and will recover instantly

b) in self denial about the fact that they'll probably want to play RS in about a month and recover anyways after a while.

Lets face it , few people ever quit RS permanently, i speak from experience.

b is even worse imo.

i would agree that its most likely a scam, but you just have to see how legit the person is, of course i wouldn't recomend buying off 1 vouch 1 postcount cliaming to sell main for super cheap to fund a pure, when in the photos the account has 500m+

 

You can't really say that for everyone, some people will just get bored of their main and want to sell it. Also if it is a really trusted person selling a main then you can no doubt have a bit more safety that they won't take the account back.

 

Yah there are a lot of scammers.. however, there are also a lot of legitimate people on sythe. Just do your research checking their vouches and how long they've been a member.

 

yeah, people like me i like to make a account and when im done i start a new different account, i have a ,main but i never play it so i sell it. i literally have got on my main in the past month just for the xp lamps from scam of fortune

 

your name and sig are so epic i wouldnt mind if you scammed my bank irl and you can have my girlfriend too.

Only trust the trustables.

 

From my experience here I've noticed account sales is a pretty much inevitable recovery waiting.

Even if you buy from the big names if you remember Skills Mate or Lucster. Both highly trusted account sellers, both were banned and recovered every account they sold.

Your best bet is to not buy accounts.

This is only from my experience mind.

 

imo buying accounts is pointless, I can bot almost every skill only thing that is an issue is RSGP but if you're gunna spend money on a main, rather buy gold and just build your own account, but I do agree people just want quick money, a lot of it is just a lie and they don't have a pure, there bank just got cleaned and are looking to make some quick cash.

 

I would agree that it is a scam aswell, I think that you never really quit runescape if you are still playing on one account, sooner or later people will recover it.

 

but you have to remember this also takes a lot of time to get up to where someone could just buy in 1 day, and their are risks of being banned etc.Some people just can't run their bot 24/7 :/

but the only thing you can really do is just trust the trusted users, if your certain on doing this then that's really the only thing you can do, not everyone who says their funding their pure is going to scam, how could you know for certain? Lots of people prefer pures over mains and find them quite boring so you just never really know

 

Yeah, you could buy it in one day sure, but you can have it recovered the next. Trust is EVERYTHING and people who you think you can trust might end up being someone you can't, and sure someone can prefer a pure over a main, but that doesn't mean they want to get rid of there main(which can probably make more money then a pure). We will all have our opinions, and we will all be wrong/right at the same time. I guess if you're going to buy an account you should already know the risk; I do and that's why I'll never buy an account, but I would sell one if I was really done with runescape.

 

I've sold a main to fund a pure, then sell the pure after about a month or so.. I lose profit but I get enjoyment out of it overall

 

Wouldn't buy an account without a recovery test.

 

I just wouldn't buy an account from someone not significantly trusted full stop.

 

I won't ever sell an account that I was, well I guess, emotionally attached too once. I have my main that I've had since 2005 when I started playing and another account that I've played 100% legit, but left as F2P. I know that after a few months if I ever want to play again, I won't have those accounts and I'll be upset that I can't play them again unless I purchase them back. Also, I get very Nostalgic and enjoy the memories I've had.

Not saying I'd ever recover them back of course, but if someone is selling their main from years ago when they started, remember what the account could mean to them. If it's an account that's been botted in a month or two and maybe PKed or staked on a few times they'll probably forget about it and just be thinking of the cash they're gonna get from it.

 

Im considering selling my main but not to fund any pures.. i am currently not playing real rs because of an ongoing feud with jagex and some bullshit over an account being frozen because some dickhead charged back an upgrade here. Either way there ARE legit sellers out there but imo the risk is too much its not like using a mm will help or change anything with account sales. Btw how long you have been a member and post count has NOTHING to do with trust, read through this thread and notice that very trusted people have scammed people out of accounts. Its all dependent on the individual and this being the internet you will NEVER know who you are dealing with. GL if your considering a purchase .

 

Since you don't need ovl and turmoil on a pure they're pretty cheap right? mainly just a strength/attack training grind.....

People who sell their mains are the one who usually recovers them...

To me, I got an emotional attachment to it. And no one can successfully quit Runescape.
