The ability to delete threads of your own.

Sythe needs to add an option to delete any thread that you created.

Thats all I have to say.

Sometimes people will post threads and few days later their thread dies. I would appreciate if there was an option to delete threads. I received an infraction for spamming on my own thread when it was overlooked by a moderator named , or somebody who reported my post; who thought I was spamming.

why? then people could hide stuff!:O or w/e, and to much work tbh, anyways, whats wrong with it now? jsut report your thread and they del for you, check my reported posts with in minutes, people get them deleted jsut because i asked politley

 

without going into too much detail, normal users having moderator powers (which deleting your own thread counts as) will conflict with a few modifications we have in place for this vBulletin thus will most likely will not be changed.

We also prefer to not allow people to delete there threads due to possibility of abuse.

 

This is more a suggestion than feedback. This would come under "staff powers for non-members" which is in the DNS list. Just report the first post of your thread stating you want it closed or PM a Moderator in that section to do it for you.

 

Wouldn't Spammers just troll make a bunch of threads then delete them?

And I agree with Laptop on how this should be a suggestion rather then a feedback.

 

Well yeah but I guess you should at least make this an option for higher post count members up to 1000+ posts.

But I could see this as an abuse but at least instead of just reporting the thread, have the option to delete a thread and a moderator will look over the request with a reasoning why.
