A new pure. Wich one should I chose?

Hey everyone.

To start off, I really got bored the last few weeks on runescape with my main and skiller. I would like to make a p2p pure. The problem is I never have made a pure in the past, so I don't know what one to chose/what pures actually exist.

I'm looking for a pure that I can do quests with, I can have FUN with and very important, a pure with a FANCY, NICE, ORIGINAL outfit.

Could someone give me some advice?

If you want to start PKing fast, get either pure ranger with 1 prayer(they literally can go to wild at any level) or get a gmaul pure with 50 attack, 70+ strength and 1 pray, 1 def. If you want to spend more time, get a 60 attack DDS/claws pure or something with ancients.

If you want something unconventional, make a def mauler(low attack, medium def and high strength).

As for the outfits. As a def 1 melee pure you can literally use anything you want.

Pking for the lulz -> 1 def pure there no loots here

Pking for potential loots -> 40+def

 

Try polypore pure, just auto click to 80 Mage and walah prod status, when u get bored from there u can do quests to raise attack and in turn str and range

 

Yeah polypore pure is lots of fun but you need some HP to actually survive the gmaul specs.. or you loose the staff all the time.

I would really pick something with def, probably a range tank or obby maul tank. Obby maul tank is something you really dont see very often(slayer staff+obby maul)

 

In my opinion there aren't any potential loots left as a pure, but you should definitely consider creating a boxing pure. Boxing pures can make real good money in the duel arena.

You should make a summon tank
I think they are fun and you have good costumes due to it levelling defence

Summoning tanks are ok but can get boring after a while, you could go for an ordinary 1 def for a bit then turn it to a Zerker. All about personal preferance.

 

I currently have a 30def fully quested turmoil pure, Is really fun now that i got he quest grinding done and finished 95 prayer if your looking for a long term project id go with a turmoil pure(only if you have the cash for turmoil)(300m with frost dragon bones or 130-140m for Dragon bones)

Current stats of my account are:
60 att
88 Str
90 Hp
32 Def(my friend fucked up and trained to 30 def before i did one of the quests-.-)
94 magic
87 range
95 prayer.

 

I dont see how anyone can say thereis no loots at 1def.. The world "Claws" spring too mind

 

You dont need a guide. Basically only thing you need is 80 magic for the staff. No pray, def or anything else.. and the best part is that you will own HARD. Bad part is that you will loose quite a few staffs.

 

In my past gaming experiences with pures, 1 def are good for loots if you a 50 att 80+ str smiting rusher... you cant get 50k+ unless you find a 1/100 risker. 1 def, there are soooo many rushers now its unbelievable what the wilderness has come to. On my 3 def 75 cb i get rushed at least 1 time before i can find a fight and thats on a good trip.

If your looking for loots and you have never pked before i would consider having a 300m+ bank before trying to make a pure. 160m of that will go into bones for 95 pray, 60m for chins, 20m for alchs and the rest on p pots and super att and str for bandits. Also you should invest in claws, b ring (b ring i of you are willing to afk for a beastly bonus) and a fury. you should start out by getting a few skills for quests and start combat by getting 80+ range and same for mage. then get 50 attack (quested) and 60+ str. get 52 pray now as it will save you money with p pots at chins and bandits and by 75 cb you will want it for smiting anyway. may i not now that you should be pking every so often between training just to get a feel of what you are going to be in for when u get turm. After a while of being 70 or so cb you should start questing for turm. after you have all the quests for turm you should get a few more quests for hand cannon and veng. hand cannon is optional but a 45 def pure brings in alot. get 75 attack and go for the highest strength level possible. you should have chinned 90+ range and 99 mage by now. you should also have 95 prayer. If you are decent at pking with a 2:1 kd then you will make ok cash flow.

im currently almost done with my 60 att rune pure, i dont have turm yet but idc. ill get it eventualy...ive had every kinda pure there is, 27 def hc pure, gmaul rusher, claw rusher, range tank...and the rune pure option is still the most fun. plus, you have to get 176 qp's to get barrows gloves..and you said you wanted to quest! haha

1 def 60 atk 99 str 99 range 94 mage is the best of course well for me lol
