How To avoid paypal chargebacks through virtual goods

so somebody tried charging back on me when i sold them rsgp about $230 worth
i was pissed untill i called paypal when i spoke to them they told me that
they closed the case and returned the money to me.
because theyre buyer protection policies dont cover Virtual goods.
which means if you have the buyer put a note saying something like this

"This payment is for Virtual Goods ive already recieved and very satisfied"

they can file a chargeback but theyre chance of getting the money back is very low so i dont see why everybody is complaining chargebacks for. if you have the buyer send the payment right your Good.

if you dont believe me call paypal and ask them if they cover Virtual goos in theyre buyer protection policies/program.

    and for unauthorized claims
to avoid those have the buyer send a copy of theyre ID to cinfrim the owner of the paypal account simple as that.

please leave your feedback and opinion

Just to let you know, I've been charged backed once and the buyer put up a note similar to yours and he still got his cash back. It was the first time someone charge backed me through PayPal, was for $5.00.

Most people don't charge back based on not delivering the goods, in most cases they charge back with unauthorized claims. The ID part does not work in most cases as somebody can claim it was a fake I.D. and to be honest most people don't want their passport pictures, driver's licences or other forms of I.D. floating around. It is better in my opinion to use Playerauctions for any form of paypal trades, yes there is a cost but it ensures your paypal is safe from charge backs. Everybody has different experiences with paypal but in most cases it isn't a good experience. If you do wish to trade through paypal ensure it is with people you trust or through playerauctions (or similar company).

You got lucky with your dispute because in most cases the person would have claimed an unauthorized payment and whether you had an I.D. or not you would have still most likely lost. I know for frequent paypal users it is different but if you do trades here and there and an unauthorized payment dispute pops up you will most likely lose the dispute whether it was for virtual goods or not.

That happened to me, I found out about it about 2 years ago, I always just figured it was common sense... :L

If someone buys something off you on virtual goods, charges back, it's a simple call to get it back.

    Like whats been said above.

Its not your average disputes that make it difficult, its the un-authorised ones.

You have a very low chance of winning an un-authorised dispute if they used a proxy.
