    Never heard of this genre b4 but it sounds sick. what does the 'post' part mean?

    It means it's from or still has a hint of it. Only changed by some instrumentation or progression.

    Not a huge fan of modern day post-hardcore, but there are some bands I really enjoy.

    virtually everyone after them sucks




    The "post" means it came after the original wave of hardcore bands (in the 80's).
