Who else LOVES Prison Break?

I've been aware of Prison Break on TV for years, but I don't know anybody who has watched it, have never heard anything about it whatsoever, and just never bothered to check it out.

However, a month ago I was browsing Netflix and decided to check out a new TV show. I saw Prison Break and was curious, so I popped on the first episode to check it out. I was completely hooked right from that first episode, and in 3-4 weeks I have watched almost the entire 4 Season! (just have about 5 episodes left in Season 4).

tl;dr: Who else is totally addicted to this show?

Prison Break is honestly one of the most entertaining shows I have ever watched, right up there with shows like Breaking Bad, The Wire, etc. I love the mix of drama, action, & constant "problems" that the characters encounter. No scenario ever unfolds the way the cons intend them to, but they always find a way to pull through. For those who haven't seen it, I highly recommend checking out a few episodes of Season 1 (the best season) and tell me what you think.

They drug it out waaaay too long, 3 seasons and done would have been much better. One of my favorite shows of all time though.

 

It is an addiction for me! My brother told me about it and I've watched all 4 seasons around 6 times XD!

Definitely one of my favorite shows. I just recently watched it all on Netflix and was hooked. I'm trying to decide on a new show to watch now since I just finished Lost and I need something to keep me occupied until the new seasons of Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy. I'm thinking either Boardwalk Empire, Terriers, The Wire or Oz.

 

One of my top 5 shows of all time. T-Bag is hilarious.

 

Was a great show, first season was by far the best, ending was sad but a good ending, I always knew Michael would die.

 

I totally agree man. I think it is one of those shows that has been doomed right from the beginning.. I mean it's called "Prison Break", which right away means that at some point the show is going to reach its climax and inevitable conclusion: when they break out of prison. And unfortunately that happens at the end of the first season.

I do have to give them kudos for not completely ruining the show though. I have found it quite entertaining right up until the end (few episodes left).

Season 3 was pretty bad ass, I wonder why it was so short compared to the others? I still think Season 1 is probably my favourite out of the 4 though.

I noticed that all 6 seasons of LOST are now on Netflix, and so I will probably end up watching it again. I followed it on TV until the 3rd or 4th season before I abandoned it, so it would be nice to have a refresher & then finish what I started all those years ago. I also noticed Season 2 of Californication is on Netflix, and so I am very excited to watch that. I loved the first Season and finished it ages ago but at the time that was all they had available on Netflix, and I couldn't find any good quality version to stream online.

T-bag is by far my favourite character! Besides Micheal, of course. I think the actor does a great job playing him though, and I love how much of a redneck hick he is and how he is constantly knee-deep in shitty situations haha.

I am 4 episodes from finishing the entire show lmao, and so you might have just spoiled the ending for me I hope you were kidding! I will report back tonight or tomorrow once I have finished the series.

I love when he takes on the role of Cole Phiefer at G.A.T.E. haha, he actually does a really good job. T-bag has always been one of my favourite characters in the entire show, even though he is a very bad man and a real criminal. However, after his stint as Cole Pheifer in Season 4, I felt genuinely bad for him when he ends up back in prison for the rest of his life after everybody else is exonerated.

They did a good job at showing the change that he goes through when he is working a legitimate job for the first time in his entire life, and for quite a few episodes I had the idea that T-bag might actually change as a person and gravitate away from his violent criminality. But in the end, T-bag will always be T-bag, left with just a small glimpse of the kind of successful life & identity he could have had, but never will.

Like T-bag says, "we are all captives of our own negativity, and prisoners of our own identity."





I finished the show by the way... it was SO GOOD! I am just so sad that it's over

Its a great and awesome T.V show I've watched it 3 times but forgot it since I watched them long time ago I'm re watching them atm on Netflix I'm on season 4 when they break out and they're planning to take down a company after Michael finding out that Sara is still alive .

 

Lost is a great show. Seasons 5 and 6 are probably the worst ones of the series, but they are still good and worth watching. I definitely didn't care for the ending though. I've never seen Californication, but I've heard a lot of good things about it and I really like David Duchovny. I checked Netflix though and none of it is on instant play

You should watch Terriers too. Unfortunately there is only 1 season, but it's really good and I've yet to hear anything bad about it. It won't take long to watch, so it's definitely worth the time. It also has Rockmond Dunbar in it, which is the guy who played C-Note in Prison Break. Also if you haven't already, you should check out Sons of Anarchy, which is on Netflix instant.

Unfortunately it's true, but you probably already know by now. I didn't care for the ending and felt like it was a bit rushed, which is really the only negative thing I have to say about the whole series. I was also really pissed off when Bellick died lol. He was one of my favorite characters along with T-Bag and Mahone. If you're interested, there is an episode of Breakout Kings that is about T-Bag. I'm not necessarily a big fan of the show and haven't seen much of it, but this episode is worth a watch for T-Bag fans. It's the 3rd episode of season 1 called The Bag Man. Robert Knepper is an amazing actor and extremely underrated.

 

Prison break was my favorite tv show ever! i even watched the movie that they released after. That show got me into watching lost,breaking bad, arrested development, community, weeds, entourage, and mad men. Best tv shows out I recommend all of them

I'm so glad the show is on Netflix or I would never have started watching it. Like I said above, nobody ever recommend it to me or anything, I just got very lucky and stumbled across it one day when I was bored and thought it looked cool. I finished the show a few days ago and I already miss looking forward to watching it in the evenings.

Yes, it is true

I knew it was coming so I wasn't hit as hard as I probably would have been, because otherwise I would have been seriously shocked that he died. I just thought they would have a "happily ever after" ending after Michael worked SO hard to gain everybody's freedom and to bring down The Company. But I guess they had to throw that little tearjerker in there..

I was also really upset when Bellick died as well. I honestly HATED his guts for Season 1 and most of Season 2 when he was pursuing the cons and bossing around the cops like he had some kind of authority. I mean come on.. he is just a fat prison guard. But after he goes to prison with everybody else and "walks a mile in their shoes", I love how the writers changed his character completely. He becomes a good guy, a reliable friend and ally to the cons, and he finally understands that they are all good people and working for a good cause. His death was especially sad due to the fact he sacrificed himself, and because all the cons surprisingly took it so hard.

Also, THANK YOU for telling me about that Breakout Kings episode!! I've seen a few episodes on TV and it's a pretty good show, and I just noticed a few weeks ago that Season 1 is already on Netflix. I told my brother about the T-bag episode this morning when he woke up (he is also a huge fan), and we are going to watch it tonight. So again, thanks! You have given me something to look forward to this evening

What is the deal with the little mini-movie that they released after?

I noticed that as I was approaching the final episode of Season 4, it has an hour and a half long. I figured that was maybe just an extended Season finale, but the show actually wraps up completely in the episode before. So I suspect they may have released it awhile later for fans who didn't get enough of the show (I would have been one of those fans ).

Either way, I quite enjoyed the extra long episode, and seeing another daring prison escape. It's what the show is about after all!

And yes, many of those shows that you are into are also some of my top favourites I will be sure to check out the ones I haven't seen, so thanks for the suggestions.

 

I really didn't expect Michael to die. I was shocked, but not all that upset since it was the last episode anyways. I hated Bellick a lot too when he was a guard. Same with Kellerman when he was working for the company, but he ended up being one of my favorites also. I wish they hadn't gotten rid of him for so long. I cracked up every time Bellick came on screen limping around in his underwear when he was in Sona lol. They should have waited to kill him off. The show wasn't the same without him. At least his death wasn't for nothing though.

Also isn't the movie where Sarah gets locked up and Michael dies? I've never considered it to be a movie. I always figured it was the final episode, since it pretty much closes everything. I don't even remember how the last actual episode ended.
