WARNING: Flipping has been nerfed.

Doesn't affect me I usually stake although I was starting to get the hang of flipping doing small things like dragon scims and runes so a bit of a bummer but not to worried.

 

They're trying to eliminate the best money making methods for when they add buyable gold.

 

It's been awhile since I have flipped for a profit, but this is still upsetting for me. It was a good, fast way of making cash if you had some cash to begin with. It will be interesting to see the effects this has on the game in the near future.

 

You could still flip, but you would have to wait longer.

Neither for, nor against this. Middle ground is where I'm at, I'm stumped as to why they'd nerf it though considering it had no actual affect on the game (as far as I'm aware.)

I cant believe they have done this.. flipping and how the market changes has been a pretty big reason influencing me to keep playing rs. And to people who are claiming "merchers" are bad for game they obviously dont know the difference between merching and flipping. Merch clans are the main issue with merchanters as they can seriously fuck up an item or two for a while... but they dont hold a candle to the damage bots can do in just a day or so... So people bitching about merchers ruining the economy then botting it up are essentially a part of their own problem. Go figure Jagex is going to make a straight out anti fun update soon.

 

I personally do not merch items, but many of my friends do. bad for them.

 

MERCHING AND FLIPPING ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS, why do people keep posting about merching when it's effecting flipping, lol. you can still "merch" but flipping is now a little harder.

 

its bad but good at the same time cus items have larger margins now, so i just leave some high price items with good margins in ge for low and sell high so it's aight.

 

It wouldn't have as when you clean it, it turns into another item and the reset was voided.

 

Theirs nothing official from Jagex about Buyable gold, he's just joking around because Jagex have already added Micro-Transactions with the Squeal of Fortune, so they've opened the door for Jagex selling their own gold.
